Sometimes, simple is best when filming on an LED volume. 9/8 Central shot this in Studio A for Pixlmob to create a minimalist shot that kept all the viewers' attention on their speakers.
Science projects and tiny engineers—this may have been the most adorable day on set! All interviews and inserts were filmed in Studio A by 9/8 Central for Upstate SC Alliance.
Here's a secret: that background isn't real! 9/8 Central used AI to generate a garage scene to their liking, made a few tweaks to add realism, and then lit and shot it.

They said it was impossible. We're here to tell you they were wrong, again.
Simple is best. To match the client's vision of a warm, cozy home office space, 9/8 Central sourced a simple backdrop and brought props into Studio A to bring this set alive. The simplicity kept the audience's focus on the speaker and his passion, not on the environment.
Virtual production doesn't have to be complicated 🤷♂️ Here's a simple setup 9/8 Central used for a social media client to keep the audience's focus on the speaker, not the environment. The clean, seamless background gives this client an authoritative feel that gels well with their level of expertise.
What social media content would you film in front of the LED Wall?
Filmed in Studio A by 9/8 Central for Police Security Flashlights: a visit to a workshop created entirely in Unreal Engine, making for a short shoot day with no location scouting and complete environmental control. All essential for a successful product shoot!
What product would you shoot in front of the 33x18ft. LED Wall?
VR 🤝 VP
We’re still thinking about virtual reality after Transfr, Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC), and OneSpartanburg, Inc. took over the studio with state-of-the-art VR headsets and training simulations that seemed almost too real. 😮

Tight turnarounds, busy schedules, unpredictable weather—the usual video production foes were at it again for 9/8 Central and OneSpartanburg, Inc..
And sure, an indoor shoot would've solved these, but this video needed to transport viewers across Spartanburg County—hardly achievable in one location.
Unless that location is Studio A. Then, you can film in every corner of this bustling county in less than a few hours.

Changing locations for a shoot doesn’t have to be chaotic and stressful.
Imagine it being as peaceful as kicking back your feet while a VP specialist uploads a different environment.
Oh wait, that’s the reality.

Sometimes you don’t get a stroke of genius until you’re on set. 💡
When Police Security Flashlights came into the studio, 9/8 Central and Will Stewart had great shots planned, but that's only half the battle. They still had several in-the-moment ideas that required set changes and environment manipulations—things you just can't do on a physical set.
The Police Security Flashlights team was on board and chimed in with ideas of their own, making this an electric virtual production shoot! ⚡️
Filming on-location just has a lot of variables to prepare for. Weather is uncertain, schedules change quickly, and most importantly, your budget has to allow for travel, accommodation, and sometimes permitting.
There's another way.
Here's a look at Polydeck’s location-hopping brand video, which used plates in place of location filming to get the perfect shot that worked best for their team.
Conflicting schedules, a short time frame, and less-than-perfect weather brought Audi Greenville into the studio for a brand video with a twist.
Do you guys spot it? 👀
Behind Marc and Brian is a 33 x 18 ft LED Wall with custom plates of the dealership, so 9/8 Central could grab that perfect shot whenever was most convenient for their client.
Improving processes using technology 🤝
That's something we've got in common with 9/8 Central's client here. They make their world a better place, and we're making production easier, more efficient, and more affordable.

Here's the thing about filming on-location: the weather and lighting don't care about your project. It's always a gamble—sometimes it pays off, and sometimes you go home with your pockets empty and a throbbing headache.
With Virtual Production, you can make sure your location is always looking its best. Just find that perfect time of day at your physical location, grab a plate, and throw it up onto the LED Wall to get the perfect shot every. single. time.

Thriveal CPA Network was looking to add another element to their highly sought-after annual conference.
So 9/8 Central came to us with the idea of not one, but two virtual panels with a twist.

Christmas came early to Studio A 🎄
NewSpring Church was up to something really fun last week!
This 9/8 Central and Crawford shoot included a day in Studio A filming the last scene in their project for United Community Bank. Turns out, robotics labs are hard to find, and it's next to impossible to find one that's willing to halt production for several hours. So, we built a virtual one instead. The shoot wrapped hours early, even after the team spent extra time pursuing the perfect shots. Let's talk about the vision for your next project!

Here are 3️⃣ reasons you should film your next project on our LED Wall.
Thought virtual production was only good for narrative-based projects? Shoot your next set of product videos in front of an LED Wall to save yourself several hours of principal photography while spending less time in the editing suite.
Here's one of the finals 9/8 Central created in studio for Police Security Flashlights. In under 4 hours, their team pumped out 6 captivating finals.
Virtual Production—because recording industrial content on your own schedule without disrupting your operation is borderline impossible.

Talk about a time (and budget) saver: this timelapse simulates a 3-hour party. But it only took 10 minutes in Studio A to pull this whole thing together. Here's a peek behind the curtain 👆
Is it possible to shoot at multiple locations in just a couple of hours? Yeah, but only in Studio A.
9/8 Central filmed 2 videos for a Greenville-based auto group and didn’t have to worry about location scouting or time restrictions, thanks to virtual production.
Cocktail content fast, easy, and buttery smooth thanks to EP+Co's SISU Cinema Robotics and virtual production tech.
This is the closest we'll ever allow liquids to the LED Wall. Add in Ep+Co's SISU Cinema Robotics, and you can understand why we were a little nervous for this test shoot. We quickly learned that Thomas Stroud is a pro and he's welcome anytime, especially when he's whipping up cocktails like this. Seriously, Thomas. Anytime.
