PSJ Mothers Day at Highfields was a success!

ISO barn staff for 15 horse show/lesson facility in Travelers Rest. Ability to pick and choose shifts wanted. Ideally looking for Saturday AM, Sunday AM, Friday AM, and Monday PM, Friday PM.

AM shifts take typically 4 hours, PM shifts take 2 hours. Pay is $18 an hour. AM shift starts at 7:30 am and PM starts between 4-5 pm.

Chores involve stall cleaning, leading horses to and from pastures, blanket changes, feeding and prepping oral medications/supplements, checking water and giving hay.

Please be 16 or older, have barn staff experience and reliably show up on time. Friendly environment and clients. We love our horses and attention to detail is important.

We had an amazing show yesterday at Night and Day Riding! There was more turnout than ever before. I have to take a moment to thank my clients for helping me keep the show running smoothly and holding the fort down. It really is a team effort!

Our aim is to provide a friendly and welcoming show environment to green horses and riders as well as those looking for affordable ways to get off property. I received so much positive feedback back and we can’t wait for our next show.

Gina and All Set For Life “Waylon” WEC 2024
This young horse rocked it at his first big show! We are so excited for his future in the hunters. Gina showed Sunday in the Long Stirrup and took home a fourth on the flat and 8th over fences his very first day getting in the ring. Future Baby Greens unicorn!

Shafer and Hoo Has My Spots “Forest” WEC 2024
1st Place in the Long Stirrup EQ Flat and a fourth and fifth over fences! All on a horse we’ve developed for 3 months!!!

Big successes at WEC 2024

Penelope got 5th, 6th, and 4 7ths in the .80 and .85
Michelle got three 2nds and ended up Reserve Champion of the .65
Gina got 4th on the flat and 8th in one of her Long Stirrup Hunters
Shafer got 1st on the flat and 4th and 5th over fences in the Long Stirrup Eq.

Alfred
16.2 big b***d 8 year old gelding. Machine in the jumper ring. Could dabble in hunters and eq as well. Alfred has a record up to the 1.0 with scope for much more. Has been everywhere and hauls great. If you point him at it, he is going. Rateable and educated on the flat. Perfect for a confident adult or older junior as he is an athletic horse. Normal maintenance. Prefer in barn lease but off property borrow or keeps to a good program.

Dutchess
Large 12 year old pony mare. Extensive record in the jumper ring. Has taught her kid from 2’-2’6”. Dutchess has been to TIEC, Highfields, Wills Park, and FENCE and Harmon Fields. She’s even been on the cover of The Aiken Horse! Dutchess is more of a push ride. Normal maintenance. Super super pony for a kid or petite adult to learn the ropes in the jumper ring and have a great time. Prefer in barn lease because we adore her (very affordable!) but off property borrow or keeps to a good program.

Ellie
19 year old 16 hand mare. Ellie would be perfect for an adult or teen to dabble in all 3 rings. Ellie enjoys hacking out, working on her dressage and jumping up to 2’6”. Normal maintenance. In barn borrow only.

Klondike
13.2 medium 12 year old gelding. Literal unicorn. Perfect for the first canter, crossrails, walk trot job. Perfect amount of motor for a kid. Makes every kid smile who rides him. Klondike has taught many children how to canter and jump. Occasional change but not at all confirmed. Excellent in every way. Borrow only.
