GUW's 2020 Needs Assessment study found a significant void of mental health services in Greenwich. As a result, we partnered with Greenwich Hospital Yale New Haven to launch the town’s first Youth and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program. Greenwich youth need support now more than ever. We can’t do this alone. Please help us serve the mental health needs in our community by giving to this campaign.
The Greenwich United Way (GUW) finds the most pressing, underserved needs in Greenwich through its intensive Needs Assessment study. Once identified, we support and help expand existing solutions with grants from our annual Community Investment Process. And if a solution does not exist, we develop one. In fact, many of Greenwich’s most well-respected programs and non-profit agencies trace their roots back to the GUW! As the season of giving approaches, please consider supporting our mission by volunteering your time, talent or capital.
The Greenwich United Way is the one organization that supports all of Greenwich. We do this by finding and fixing the town’s human service needs. Each year, through our Community Investment Process, we support more than 20 agencies that address the needs of Greenwich’s most vulnerable residents. We can’t do this without your help. There are many ways you can support your community — inquire within!

Our Reading Champions Ambassador, Kaitlin Roig-DeBellis, joined one of the program's End-of-the-Year Celebrations at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich this week. At the event, Kaitlin was able to see firsthand how this literacy program goes beyond improving a child's reading fluency. For the past 10 years, Reading Champions has created hundreds of priceless bonds between students and tutors and this experience leaves a positive impact on both! In this video clip, a tutor that is new to Reading Champions presents her young student with a certificate of achievement, medal and a new book for summer reading.
