Winning is not everything
It is the only thing
- Vincent Lombardi
And it happened….Dogs capped their exceptional SCL season by comprehensively beating New Milford in the final and winning the SCL for the first time in its history. For the first time in SCL’s long history, a team has remained unbeaten throughout… such was the domination
It could not have been a better story as the same opposition had defeated us at the same ground by restricting us to the same total in the last SCL final. We just turned the tables this year
We had some great support from the orignal founders of the Norwalk cricket club which laid the foundation for this SCL squad. The celebrations continued late in the night and maybe beyond as well😄😄
Huge call out to all the players who made this happen!!
And the Weekend lived up to its hype
Dogs finally won the WSL trophy after a gap by defeating Columbia CC in a dominating performance. Chasing 180, Dogs charged to victory by 6 wickets. The evening was graced with families, our sponsors US Mobile and international umpire Mr Steve Bucknor
On Sunday- Dogs maintained their unbeaten run in the SCL and defeated New Haven Eagles CC by 5 Wickets in an exciting Semi Final. Again Chasing a score of 170 plus, Dogs batting had contributions from everyone to make it a comfortable victory.
Dogs will play their arch rivals New Milford in a repeat of the 2019 SCL final at Bridgeport this coming Sunday.
Historic opportunity for Mad Dogs to do the double and lift the SCL trophy along with the WSL
Go Dogs!!!
Weekend Update:
With no leagues this weekend, Dogs played against Panthers and won a closely contested friendly game at MDP
Sunday was an eventful evening with an intraclub match which had lot of players playing together after a long time. After an exciting game which was filled with some intense moments, all the players and families got together for some food and drinks
Next week is a big week for the club as we face Columbia in the WSL final on Saturday and New Haven Eagles in the SCL semi final on Sunday.
Dogs look on track to get these 2 huge trophies back into its cabinet!!!!
Mad Dogs Weekend League Update
WSL: Dogs finish the league at top of the table with a resounding victory over Columbia. The 22 points in the league is the most points any team has earned since the league started. Dogs move straight to the final and will play the winner of Kookas Vs Columbia game!!! One game away from the trophy
SCL: Another record created by finishing the league as top of the table and UNBEATEN across the 9 games. The last victory was a sweet one as Dogs defeated their arch rivals NMCC in their own backyard from an almost impossible position. Dogs move straight to the semifinals and will play the winner of NHCC and New Haven Eagles
It would be great to have support for these 2 games as they will be both be home games for Dogs!!! Expecting a full house!!!
Mad Dogs Weekend League Update
WSL: A comprehensive victory of more than 200 runs over Hoboken see Mad Dogs retain their top spot. The fight for top finish and a place in final will go down to the last day and a win against Columbia will ensure Dogs finish top of the league
SCL: All the matches were cancelled due to the hurricane warnings which meant Dogs will finish top of the SCL league for the 2nd time in a row and move straight to semis. Dogs will go into the last league game against New Milford to maintain their unbeaten run and fine tune any last minute changes before the playoffs

The event was highly successful with league officials laying ground work for cooperation among New England teams for competitive cricket.
The first official SCtCA u 14 league game was also played between Mad Dogs Cricket Club and hosts New Milford Cricket Club. Nihal scored a brilliant 50 no and Tom took a 5fer. These stars are not far away from giving some seniors a run for their money
Congratulations to SCTCA board, especially president Jay Singh and youth coordinator Prasanna Ramaswamy for successful establishment of the first youth league in CT.

Happy Bday Skipper @ Anand K Subramanian
Hope you dont have to strangle the players like this year!!!
Big Thanks to The Philadelphia Cricket Club and Merion Cricket Club for hosting us for our 1st tour this season. The results of the matches were inconsequential as all the 3 teams had a great time in the field and continued their long lasting relationship
Dogs had a balanced squad with few first timers and few experienced players...In line with the tradition, there was plenty of action off the field as there was on it.
This turned out to be a special moment for Mad Dogs legend John “bunny hunter” Moore as he scalped his 800th wicket for the Dogs!!!
All in all a great trip largely due to the amazing hospitality of both the clubs!!!
Waiting for the next trip...
