Three years ago, after a genetic condition destroyed Noah's kidneys, Brian donated one of his, an act he says was a "no-brainer." The two will compete as part of the Renal Warriors, a team sponsored by the NKR.

Kidney donor Theron Hayes is seeking to raise awareness about living kidney donation by hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: 2,600 miles through three states, from the Mexican to Canadian borders. He began his quest in April, 9 months after donating his kidney to a stranger.
