Announcing GVC’s Assistant Director “Coach G”!! Head Coach Guilherme Lima started coaching at GVC in 2018. Since then he has poured his passion for volleyball into our programs and earned Coach of the Year last season. Coach G was a Connecticut All-State and All-FCIAC player for Fairfield Warde HS. On the club junior level, G and his MEVBC team won the 2017 USAV Boys Junior National Championship. Thank you Coach G for everything you do for GVC!

Coach Betty is joining our coaching staff at GVC! As an athlete, she played in China and at the University of New Haven as a libero/defensive specialist making an appearance at the NCAA DII Elite 8 and winning the 2012 Northeast 10 Conference. She started coaching in 2011 and was an assistant coach at the University of New Haven and the University of Saint Joseph. Currently, she is the assistant coach at King School. We are excited to see Coach Betty share her volleyball expertise and experience with our GVC athletes!

Welcome GVC’s Coach Corky Losure!
Corky was a pin hitter played at Springfield College! She’s also a middle school math teacher and is completing her strength and conditioning certification. She is passionate about growing the whole athlete: physically, mentally, and emotionally!!

WELCOME GVC’s newest coaches!
Tana-Marie McMarrow has an extensive resume not only as a player but also as a coach. As a 5’6 middle, she was known fondly by teammates and volleyball friends as the “littlest biggest middle.” Tana-Marie played for the Creole Volleyball Club Semi-pro team. In her last year at Queens college, she earned team MVP and Outstanding senior with the highest 2002 hitting percentage in the NCAA. The highlight of her college career was playing against the Nebraska team at nationals in 2007 and placing second.

Tana-Marie has coaching experience of over 20+ years, teaching both children and adults alike… This ranges from being the assistant coach at Pace University to coaching camps at the University of Illinois to being the Site Technical Director at Downstate Volleyball Club to doing private lessons for many D1 players, just to name a few.. She is looking forward to helping out as much as she can with the development of the GVC players.
