Enjoyed our visit to with its striking original Manor House. The Groot Constantia farm dates back to 1685, making it one of the oldest commercial wine farms in . The house, designed in the late Dutch Renaissance style contains furnishings and paintings from the late 18th to early 19th century.
Enjoyed the morning exploring the area of Cape Town, South Africa. Bo Kaap was declared an exclusively Muslim residential area in the 1950’s during the Apartheid period. All the houses during this time had to be painted white. Years later when this rule was lifted the former slaves purchased the properties, and the houses were all painted bright colors as an expression of the owners freedom!

Inspired by traditional Japanese pavilions and the work of Sir Edwin Lutyens, this pergola's teak timber framing and roof structure were carefully designed and meticulously constructed to fit snugly together to minimize the appearance of joints. Designed to be seen from above and below, the graduated cedar shingle roof hides individual strips of the waterproofing membrane between each course to conceal the modern performance within a traditionally clad structure.
