Swafford Transport & Warehouse is pleased to introduce to you our first female driver, Kelsey Templeton. Kelsey earned her CDL within 90 days and has been a valuable employee since August 2022. She was recently featured in Greenville Technical College Pathways magazine. She is a great addition to the Swafford Family.

We are hiring! The Swafford Group is currently seeking a Systems Analyst. This position will be responsible for gathering business requirements from various stakeholders, recommending effective and optimal solutions to meet business needs, documenting proposed solutions, managing and prioritizing projects for timely implementation and performing quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy. This role will include working on projects to solve business problems in the areas of warehousing, logistics, financial reporting and managing data exchanges with external partners. This role will also work directly with the outsourced Managed IT provider on matters relating to data storage and back-up, IT infrastructure maintenance and replacement, user equipment troubleshooting and other matters. Safety is our culture: At this year’s South Carolina Trucking Association’s Safety Banquet, Swafford Trucking received three safety awards, two for accident free miles driven and one for no recordable injuries. Swafford drivers are The Best of the Best. We appreciate all that they do every day to keep those wheels turning and our customers happy. A big “thank you” to our drivers!

Our spotlight employee for today is Al Rector. Al has been a valuable member of our team since May 2021. He has a positive attitude and is always willing to lend a hand. Al drove 40 miles in the snow and ice to get to work after our recent winter storm. That kind of dedication is what sets our employees apart. We want to thank Al and all of our warehouse employees. You are what makes Swafford great!

November 2021 is Swafford’s Inaugural Thankful for Warehouse Employees Month.

November is a month to reflect on all the reasons we are thankful. At Swafford, our people top the list of reasons to be grateful. This November we are showing a little extra thanks for our Warehouse employees. We will honor these wonderful, hardworking folks with appreciation events throughout the month. We are pleased to share that Swafford Warehousing was recently recognized by SC Biz as a high-growth small business. To qualify, Swafford underwent an analysis of their financial statements, and the leadership team was interviewed by a panel of business leaders. Swafford ranked 13th out of the top 20 high-growth small companies in South Carolina. Swafford, along with other honorees from across the state, was honored at an awards ceremony at the DoubleTree in Columbia on September 23, 2021. We are truly appreciative of all the hard work and dedication of the entire Swafford team that made this award possible. We have great employees (our Swafford Family), and we love our customers, and it shows!

A huge congratulations to Calvin Maddox. Calvin was awarded Driver of the Month by South Carolina Trucking Association.

Calvin is an excellent example of a professional driver with his great attitude, willingness to help, and ability to train new drivers. Additionally, Calvin understands the importance of safety as he has driven over 1.5 million miles without an accident!!

Swafford Trucking received The South Carolina Trucking Association's Top Fleet Safety Award. We operated over a QUARTER MILLION miles in South Carolina with ZERO USDOT recordable accidents. Swafford's truck safety was determined to be the best overall safety record for the 2020 mileage year.

SCTA President and CEO Rick Todd said, "Swafford has performed in an exemplary fashion and their record speaks for itself."
