Growing Hearts Preschool

Today marks a sad day for Growing Hearts Preschool. Since June, we have been working to move to our new location, but the permit process through the city of Gresham has proved to be much lengthier than expected. We will be unable to open in September as planned, because the city will not be able to finish the permit process until November or December.

I have made the hard decision to close Growing Hearts Preschool for the 24-25 school year. I will miss all of you dearly and hope that your next preschool adventure brings many smiles and laughs as you continue to grow.

Spectacular day at GHP♥️. We welcomed 100+ new praying mantis babies, melted colored ice cubes and water, made play doh pizzas. and just had a ridiculous amount of fun. Time for a nap.

Crazy, fun week!!

There’s an awful lot happening at GH these days! We’ve had a visit from the tooth fairy, a temporary mascot (we found a slug in the backyard), and a fabulous Valentine’s Day season! 

We are all SO happy to be back at school after the big thaw! Between Pajama Day and Grandma Cheri’s birthday, we had a very eventful week♥️

What an eventful first week of 2024! So good to be back.

Back to learning through play 🥰

Sadly, we will be closing for just a couple days next week, while we deep clean after a few positive Covid cases. School will be back in session December 6. Meanwhile, enjoy this month’s photo-dump (a bit belated).

We’ve been a little too busy for a photo dump over the last couple weeks, but hopefully these make up for the wait! September was quite a ride, and we’re excited about all the fall fun coming our way in October.

Today was perfect end to the always-chaotic-but-awesome first week of preschool! ♥️. Teachers Jessica and Lauren will be sleeping for the next 72 hours 😂

Thank you Teacher Erin Budde for getting us started on sorting these alphabet tubs; the teenage boys have finished up the job for free pizza and Wi-Fi. 🥰

Today, I am feeling awfully proud of our new play area— a whole lot of toil and tears went into this transformation. 🥰. I have only been living in this house a year, and because of a major flood over the winter, I had to put my landscaping plans on hold. I’m awfully glad I did, because opening a preschool sure does change your landscaping plans. 😂😂😂. Here’s the before, and after, not in that order. 😁. We’re gonna have so much fun!!!
