Being the first is a Beautiful thing! We had the honor and pleasure of working with the African American museum in Treme on the amazing exhibit of Florestine Perrault Collins. She was the first African American women photographer in New Orleans. Collins is noted for having created photographs of African-American clients that "reflected pride, sophistication, and dignity." instead of racial stereotypes.
