She makes bracelets and other awesome items and donates all her money back to a charity that helps animals. She’ll be at a craft fair in valpo this weekend. Way to go.
More puppies stopped by to get some friendly advice from the golden one! Franklin and Teddy listened intently to his wise words as Bentley told them what a great family they’re lucky to grow up in! Thanks Jodi and Grace Aurand for stopping by the shop!
Bentley loves when some of his favorite customers bring in their puppies for a visit! Yes, as you can see, Bentley is a veteran when it comes to picture taking! Thanks , Amanda for stopping by ! 👍✌️
Happy 4th Griffith, Indiana. Our third annual Baxter Printing Fourth of July parade party was another success. Unfortunately did have to move a few chairs but everyone had a great time and always love the parade participants! Thank you Griffith for another year !
Here are a couple of beautiful paintings that I purchased at The Promise You Art House in Highland. They are great additions to my living and dining room.

Dementia can have a big impact on every member of the family, including children. Each child will react differently to someone who has the disease. Young people might have questions about what's happening as the disease progresses. It’s important to answer these questions openly and honestly, and to share with them the changes this disease might bring.
My newest book has been published just in time for the holidays. Following is an independent review from Readers' Favorite. And click on the link below to purchase. Enjoy!

The subject of dementia can be difficult to explain to children. Little ones must be taught to understand when grandparents behave differently because of an illness. Robert Sky Allen presents a story that describes this topic frankly. Why Doesn't Grandpa Remember Me?, subtitled A Children's Book about Families Affected by Dementia, will allow readers to identify the symptoms they may experience and be able to manage them. The story concerns a child who narrates his experiences with his grandfather. He describes that his grandfather sometimes forgets things or gets confused, and the grandfather may even forget his grandson. The boy is sometimes sad when this occurs, but despite the circumstances, there is still so much love between them.
Why Doesn't Grandpa Remember Me? is a poignant read. Robert Sky Allen based it on his experiences with his own grandfather, which is why this story is so meaningful. I appreciated the narration from a child's perspective because it explains in a general manner what causes dementia using simple language. The story embodies a lot of love and shows that interaction between family members is still possible. I think it is important for children to have this sort of book to encourage them to talk about their feelings regarding dementia and its impact. Dr. Allen presents a positive perspective where children will feel motivated to continue living in a family with empathy.
