Grimes Volunteer Support Services
GVSS has been providing services to Grimes area residents since February 2011. We have over 230 clients and over 80 volunteers providing services.

Grimes Volunteer Support Services (GVSS) is in urgent need of compassionate and reliable volunteers to help drive community members to their essential appointments and errands. This can be as simple as picking them up at their home and taking them to the Community Center for lunch and back home a little later. Even doing this once a week is so helpful for us all!
Do you have an hour or two to spare each week or every other? Your time can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need within our community. We have so many wonderful volunteers already but we need more as our need is increasing.
π Why Volunteer with GVSS?
Help your neighbors maintain their independence
Keep the elderly off the roads
Flexible schedules to fit your availability
Contribute to a stronger, more connected community
If you're interested in making a positive impact, please reach out to us for more details. https://grimesvss.com/. You can also call 515-986-5355.
Thank you for your support! Together, we can drive change. ππ

Spring is here and the grass is getting greener. GVSS is currently looking for volunteers to help us with mowing yards during the summer months. At the present time we have more requests for residents needing yards mowed than we have volunteers. If we cannot locate volunteers we will have to turn residents down. Please consider helping Grimes residents keep their yards mowed. If you are interested, please contact us at 515-986-5355.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED--WE NEED DRIVERS TO GET AREA RESIDENTS TO MEDICAL AND OTHER APPOINTMENTS.

They make a huge difference.

GVSS is in need of VOLUNTEERS to assist clients with snow removal.
Volunteers will be assigned to an individual client which gives you more flexibility in scheduling your time.
FAMILIES! This is a great opportunity to work as a family team to help others. AND teach your kids to pay it forward by helping others in the community.
As it stands right now if we do not recruit more volunteers to help with snow removal we will be turning away clients. We are receiving more requests for snow removal than we currently have volunteers to fill the spots.
If interested please call 515-986-5355.
Thank you for considering our request.
