Coach Brian: who coaches both 14 and 17 Regionals, played 15 years as a club player in his youth. His coaching career consists of 2 years as a junior high coach, 3 years as a highschool coach and 21 years as a club coach! Brian is also a club director for Ohana!
Coach Julianne: Coaches 17 Regionals, started playing volleyball when she was 8 and played school and club up until the end of her highschool career. In college, she continued to play recreationally and even won the intramurals championship! Sheβs been coaching for two years here at Ohana!
Coach Paige: who coaches 14 Regionals started playing volleyball in 5th grade all the way up to her junior year of high school. She played her whole career as a setter and has been a great addition to the Ohana family!

β¨11U placed 4th in Hiawatha Saturday with much technical improvement from the team

β¨16 National worked hard with a new lineup, missing players and still came out improving from last time!

Coach Danielle: has played volleyball since she was 10 years old all the way up to club in college as a DS/Libero. Danielle has coached for a few years in Texas while also playing sand doubles. This is her first year coaching at Ohana!
Coach Haily: is from right here in Grimes, Iowa! Haily played at Dallas-Center Grimes school district growing up and is an Ohana Alum! She has been coaching for two years previously but this is her first year at Ohana!

Taking it back to the 11s!
Coach Kathy: has played volleyball for over 30 years and ended her career at the collegiate level. Shes been a coach for 10 years total with this season being the 4th at Ohana! Kathy loves to spend her free time with family and of course watching and cheering on the Iowa state cyclones volleyball team!
Coach Lexi: played volleyball in highschool and is currently a coach here at Ohana as well as at Dallas Center Grimes School District! Lexi also has experience with coaching many ages with the Woodward Granger School District! This is Lexiβs first year at Ohana and she is excited to see the growth and development of each of her players throughout the season!

Our next coaches: 13 Nationals!!
Coach Bailey: started playing volleyball when she was about 12 as a setter all the way up until 17s when she switched to back row as a DS/Libero. This is Baileyβs third year coaching!
Coach Marissa: started playing volleyball when she was 9 and fell in love with it ever since! Marissa played setter for almost the whole 8 years she played in club as well as school ball! She helped her school team make it to state her junior year!

Coach Sam: has been playing since she was in 5th grade!! Her club experience consisted of playing on a national team in Sioux Falls, SD. Sheβs currently playing on the Iowa State University Club volleyball team and various adult leagues. Sheβs played almost every position but her favorite is Outside Hitter!
Coach Kristin: this is Kristinβs second year coaching at Ohana with volleyball experience going back to high school and middle school! Kristin was on the 2020 Ankeny High School State Volleyball Championship team. After high school, she played one year at Central College in Pella!

Starting this week with 12U Black Regional Team.
Coach Laura has been coaching for the past 10 years with this season being her second season at Ohana. She has coached all levels of club and school ball from 5th grade to 12th grade!
Coach Ashton is in his first year of coaching but has spent his childhood from middle school to high school playing on club boys volleyball teams and actively plays on adult leagues.

What another AMAZING weekend we had with our Ohana family!!
HUGE shoutout to our 15 Nationals Girls team as they represented Ohana as the first club team in Ohana history to compete in an βOpen Divisionβ during the Northern Lights National Qualifier in Minnesota! These girls competed and played fantastically finishing 18th overall! Great job to our players and coaches and families! πΊ

Ohana will be offering highschool open gyms to all highschool boys at the Ohana Volleyball Complex. Regardless if youβre a part of another club or not a part of a club at all, all are welcome!
Starting on August 16th from 6-8PM, and every Wednesday following, there will be a $5 open gym fee with Ohana coaches intermittently present and may offer advice and feedback before boys tryouts and club commitments are due on November 7th.
