I want to share an experience that I had yesterday on the freeway. I was driving on 270 headed toward Hilliard and I almost hit a motorcycle. 😲

Not because I didn't look, but because he sped up to try to beat me when I was already changing lanes. Thankfully, I was able to sweve back into the lane I was coming from and avoid an accident.

Less than a mile further down the road, I look in my rearview mirror and see another motorcylist driving between the lanes between two cars to pass them. Thankfully, he didn't get hit either.

I am sharing this to say that I do not condone these unsafe riding practices, and in these types of situations, it is not on the responsibility of the drivers.

If you ride, PLEASE RIDE SAFELY!!

Ride safe - drive safe

During holiday weekends, accidents occur at a higher rate. Please remain safe as you celebrate this 4th of July.

Welcome to the Lawrence Meade Memorial Fund page! This fund and page was set up in memory of my Dad, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on June 9, 2011.

Some people may think that after losing someone you love like that, you should just be against riding motorcycles altogether. However, my Dad was one who loved life and lived it to the fullest, so I truly believe that he would encourage others to continue doing what they love. To this effect, I am chosing to raise awareness to the public and offer support to others who suffer the same fate.

My goal is to be able to assist other families who lose a loved one in the same manner. While I begin to get established, I will only be offering assistance to families from Grove City. As I am able to grow the page and raise more awareness and funds, I hope to be able to expand to maybe central Ohio, and then eventually to the entire state of Ohio.

Please consider making a donation to support this cause that is so near and dear to my family's heart.

Zelle donations may be made using our email address: [email protected]
or you may reach out to me for Venmo or an address to send checks.

ALL donations will be used solely for this purpose, unless otherwise stated during the fundraising, and are tax deductible. I am happy to provide a receipt, if you wish.

Look twice, you may just save the life of someone's husband/wife, father/mother, brother/sister, child, uncle/aunt, nephew/niece, cousin, etc.

Thank you!
