Bucket is back home and in training. In 2 evenings, he’s remembered what come and back means, as well as the fact there’s no 4 legged bosses on this hill. Laid him a mock track today and it went as well as can be expected with one neighbor hollering for a dog and another power breaking his truck. Tabling it until Saturday morning when I can work him before the rest of these folks around here are even awake. Feels strange to be laying baby tracks, but I need to see what he remembers and build his confidence.
Big ole pretty boy still wants to be where his people are, but no attempts have been made to escape. Small victories and 1 day at a time!
Bucket will be coming back to us He’s a 13 month old escape artist. He will be looking for a new handler, so message for info if you’re interested.
I have 12 chicks from March 24th’s hatch. All are black or blue, out of Olive Egger hens (AmeraucanaXbrown egg layer) and a Lavender Ameraucana rooster. Should lay pretty blue-green eggs and almost all of them have muffs. 8️⃣ each, straight run. I will not hold, FCFS. Will make a package deal if you buy all 12 ( 6️⃣ 0️⃣ for all).
The first 2 of our Nubians came home yesterday. Meet Blossom Creek’s PrettyLilPoison (Ivy) and Otis!
2-G Farm Grand Perfection (TuTu), 2-G Farm Kona Gold (KG), and 2-G Farm Brown Sugar will be home around Mother’s Day weekend. Then, 2-G Farm Watermelon Snow (Melly) will round out the herd when she comes home late May/early June.
Look at all those pretty red dogs playing in the mud. L-R Oakley, Tally, Pacer the Lacy whisperer, Arlo, and Whiskey.
Best part of today, by far! Got to go play with my kids and all their kidlet homies!
I have 2- day old blue and black copper Marans straight run chicks available out of this hatch.
Also have 10- day old straight run spearmint egger chicks available out of this hatch. Out of olive egger hens and a lavender Americauna rooster.
PM for info. FCFS, no holds.5
It has been a busy few weeks around here, getting ready for the start of my Nubian herd to arrive. I don’t know what’s more exciting—the fact that 4 kids will be here the 1st week of May, the fact that the driving of fence posts is done, the fact that over 1000 feet of fence wire has been stretched and we don’t have to do that again, the fact that I will soon have a swimming pool aka pond, OR the fact that there will likely be TWO litters of Lacy dogs coming this summer (one of which will be Trackstar bred top and bottom…EEK!). Big things happening around here on my funny farm.
Oh, and a barn-building on the agenda!
I ❤️ all the life being lived on my grandparents’ place!
Oakley has blown her red winter coat and is back to her pearly cream summer look. Big headed girl knows she’s purty.

Bayou Blues Dolly got her another one!
Bayou Blues Dolly at it again with her 5th. No exit wound and maybe 4 drops of blood. Thick brush didn’t slow Dolly down and she made quick work of finding this young man’s deer. Congrats, Sawyer, on a nice buck!
PS y’all. Kids and Lacy dogs in the woods. Is there really anything better than that?
Flatcreek’s Tally put another one on the tailgate. High, far back shot. Deer was DOA in some thick, thick stuff. Perfect example of one that would’ve been coyote bait without a dog.
Our niece, Keagan, took Bayou Blues Dolly on her first “solo for them” track today to find her Pappy’s doe. 1st 150 yards, no blood only white hairs at shot site. Recovery #4 for Dolly is in the books. Keep an eye on this duo, they’re up to BIG things.
Update: Bucket is no longer available. He will be going to a family who hunts with one of his littermates and her handler. So excited to see what his future holds!
Chad and I really want to see Bucket settling in with his own tracking family, and are willing to work something out if you’re the right fit for Bucket. Message for info.
Bucket is the last pup looking for a working home. 8 months old and started for tracking wounded game. LDBA registered. His littermates have all been placed in tracking, hog hunting, or cattle working homes. Message me for details.
Today’s the day! Signups at 11, tournament starts at 11:30. $40 entry, $30 cooler fee if you want to bring your beverages of choice (no glass bottles, please!), HC custom Coach O boards raffle, food, and cash prizes.
Pupdate from Florida and Bayou Blues Bayes. He’s killing it, getting recoveries after other dogs couldn’t and 28 hour old tracks. Not too shabby at all for a 7 month old pup!
Short 40 yard track for some on the job training. Bucket wouldn’t let Perp near it after it was found. No videos of him trying to eat her alive over the deer, just him talking to me about it. My sweet, people pleaser of the litter showed a different side today. Someone’s missing out on a good pup. Both pups still looking for new zip codes.
These 2 pups still looking for the right handler. PM for info.
If making crosses that create better dogs within your breed than what you started with is not your goal as a breeder, it should be. Bayou Blues Dolly just showed out on a heck of a first track. 2.83 mile gut shot track that was full of loops, turns, wound beds, 100s of yards at a time with no blood, you name it. This 6 month old pup just worked her behind off, baying the deer twice. The 2nd bay, she held her until me and my little brother caught up with her. What’s even better than that? My brother hasn’t even been able to work her on any mock tracks. She’s had no training other than the hide drags I had done with her before he picked her up.
I’m so glad he called us to go help just in case Dolly needed it and that I got to be a part of tracking my nephew’s 1st deer, even if he wouldn’t take a pic with us. Congrats, Dylan and Dolly, on your first deer!
PS…she still has a brother and sister looking for their new handlers.
These two pups are looking for new zip codes. Bucket and Perp have been working mock drags and are ready to find their permanent handlers. Puppy price applies until we start putting live tracks on them. Other pups from this litter are working cows, hogs, and tracking.
Honey earning her keep. Her owner, Benji, has done a phenomenal job with her. Loving the pup-dates I get from them!
Bucket is still looking for a working home. If you’ve ever met Oakley to know how laid back she is (until it’s time to hunt or kill something), that’s how this dude is. Listens better than most children, knows “come,” “leave it,” and “find it.” He can also waterfall from your water bottle without touching the rim in a crunch when you forget to bring a bowl to the woods and the creek bed is dry. Can take him anywhere off leash and not have to worry. He’s going to be by his people.
He’s been started on mock tracks, and works slow and methodical. That will change as his confidence grows. He has a fantastic nose. He almost got away with the liver for his drag today before we ever left the house. It was vacuum sealed, but that didn’t fool him. He knew what it was and that he wanted it.
PM for info if you think Bucket might be the Lacy you’re looking for.
