Hisaw’s ELA All-Stars
I’m a 4th grade ELA teacher at Bayou View Elementary!
What a fun first day in fourth grade! I LOVED meeting each and every one of my new kiddos! I can already tell it’s going to be a great year looking at all these sweet bright smiles.
Come wave if you’re home and in the neighborhood!
I am SO excited to meet my new kiddos on Friday! It’s going to be an amazing year!
The fourth grade reading list can also be found on our BVE web page under the library link. I’ll also post the links here as well!

Just in case you need it! 🧡💙
Move Up Day! Oh my gosh! So many smiles and laughter! Looking forward to next year but so sad about my kiddos leaving me for fifth grade! I want all the kiddos!
My kiddos created and acted out their own play! I’m so proud of them and the hard work they put into it… all on their own! It was so impressive and fun ❤️they even created a “human curtain” 😂
Our last days of “Teach the Teacher” were full of fun 🤩
Field Day Mayhem! I didn’t get as many pictures as I’d like… but here are a few!
Golf, hoverboards, soccer, softball, football, and candy sushi! Yum and fun!
More baseball (we have a lot of baseball kiddos) Go ‘Dores! 😂🤪 learning to cast a fishing rod, soccer, drawing swords, and how to make Oreo balls (my fave)! Super fun day 🧡💙
Baseball, chess, slime, and learning how to slice in tennis (I don’t know if I said that correctly 😂)… just another “Teach the Teacher” day!
Field Day!!!! 💚🩵🩷💛🧡💜
Mrs. Hisaw and I would love to have the kids decorate field day tshirts to help us feel more like a team! Please send in a neon tshirt (found in the craft department) by Tuesday. If you are unable to purchase one, please let us know by Monday. We will grab one for your child!
What do cowbells, hula hoops, skateboards, and footballs have in common? A day of teaching in room 28! We really had a blast learning today! ❤️😂
The kids did a great job teaching today! We learned how to make Sprite Lemonade, pitch a softball, juggle a soccer ball, and serve a tennis ball! We have quite a few athletes!
Hisaw/Wrightson Team
Classroom shenanigans! I heard so many “Mrs. Hisaw, I finally finished my book, and it was so good!” Well kiddos that’s what happens you actually read the book 😂🤪🧡💙!
Mardi Gras Mayhem!
A little Blooket fun!
Valentine’s Day craziness! We survived!
Our sweet class family. We’re missing Wells in this pic, but I’m going to try to work some photoshop magic 😂.
World Read Aloud Day! Mrs. Wrightson’s homeroom was able to listen to guest readers from fifth grade, and my homeroom was able to listen to live author read alouds! They were even able to practice drawing graphics for graphic novels afterwards. ❤️
Students may wear pajamas on Friday!
National Literacy Month was kicked off in our classroom this week by some of my wonderful previous reading students, Tariyah and Tatum, reading to our future reading leaders! Hopefully we will be seeing more of our amazing fifth graders this month 🥰📖📖📖📖!
We couldn’t have made it through October without our sweetest Good Citizen, Niyla! She amazes me everyday with her personality and perseverance. She contributes so much to our class family 💙🧡❤️👏!
Aaaaand October Terrific Kid goes to our magnificent Crew! Our class family wouldn’t be the same without him. We’re lucky to have such a calm, caring, and hilarious friend to spend our days with 🥰🧡💙… also mom… he didn’t want to wear his glasses! !
I can’t believe I didn’t post our sweet Zaria’s birthday! Happy late birthday sweet girl! You deserve the world, and I can’t wait to see what your future holds! ❤️
I totally failed at making a vocabulary blooket for the kiddos to review at home this week, so of course we had to do some quick review today before our quiz! Our winners were so humble… 🤪😏
Okay! Going through pictures now and seeing I’ve missed uploading some amazing moments… pics coming soon… but for now… enjoy this beautiful singing 😂
Y’all! We have to get on the board! Haha! Share with friends and family and let’s get to opt out of the science or reading fair 😂🤭.
