Poplarville Hornet Softball player of the week alert! We changed it up this week and gave it to the entire team! It was a complete effort to pull off the win!
Poplarville Softball Punched a ticket to the 4A Semi-finals by defeating Bay High in round three of the 4A state playoffs. Up next, they will go head to head with Purvis on Thursday @ Purvis at 6:00 and Friday @ Home at 6:00. Make sure to come show them some support! Good luck girls and go get ‘em!

Player of week Alert

The final player of the week for Poplarville Baseball Booster Club is Chase Sones! Chase was a solid player for the hornets all season long but in the field and on the mound! He was a major contributor to success of the hornets this season!

The hornets had a great season, falling short in hen 3rd round of the playoffs. The future is bright for the hornets! Congrats and keep working hard!

Players of the week Alert!

Preston Smith earned it for Poplarville Baseball Booster Club for his performance at the plate. Preston helped the hornets power pass the aggies to secure a spot in round 3 of the 4A state playoffs.
Preston was 6-9 at the plate with 3 homeruns and 5 rbis, he also had 1 stolen base and a .750 obp. Heck of a week Preston!

Addy Grace Alexander earned it again for Poplarville Hornet Softball for her standout
performance. She had a walkoff in the park homerun to give the lady hornets a win in game 1 against Mendenhall. She had 6 walks on the series and batted 1.000. Great work Addy Grace!

Poplarville Baseball travels to Sumrall tonight for round 3 game 1 at 7:00 and game 2 will be Saturday at 2:00 at Poplarville

Poplarville softball host Bay High for game 1 and will be on the road tomorrow for game 2.

Late post but shout out to last week players of the week for Poplarville Hornet Softball. The lady hornets’ bats were so hot at the plate it was hard to pick just one! This week we have Co-players of the week!

They beat Mendenhall in Game 1 of the 2nd round of playoffs last night! Game 2 is today, good luck and keep swinging it ladies!

Poplarville Baseball Booster Club player of the week goes to Brock Sheppard.

Brock had a solid performance at the plate for the hornets to help them beat McComb in the 1st round of playoffs! He went 4-6 at the plate with 8 RBIs and 2 homeruns, 1 of them being a grandslam! Keep swinging it Brock!

The hornets will host the Forrest County Aggies in round 2 of playoffs Friday night! Be sure to come out and support them!

This week’s player of the week for Poplarville Baseball Booster Club goes to Jett Smith. Jett has been consistent all year long for the middle school team and has help land them a spot in the middle school championship tomorrow night against Stone. Congrats Jett! Keep grinding!

Middle school hornets play tomorrow night at Stone for the championship and the varsity hornets host the McComb Tigers in the 1st round of playoffs Friday at 7! Good luck to the baseball hornets!

The Hornets finished up district play tonight with an undefeated 8-0 record and as Region 8-4A District Champs! We’re not done yet, first round bound Friday!

South Mississippi stand up! Members of the Mississippi Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers cooked at AGUP Equipment in Poplarville to help support the Poplarville High FFA chapter. Nice work gentlemen!
