We always enjoy hosting USSSA here in beautiful Gulfport! We hope everyone enjoyed their experience and are looking forward to hosting everyone again!

Today, we honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, when our country was mercilessly attacked by those who attempted to divide us; but they could not break us. We will never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and those who became heroes and bravely served that day and in the many days following. Because of the sacrifices our country has faced, we stay stronger than ever to serving our community and our country.

We were devastated.
We rebuilt.
Today, we remember.

Happy Labor Day, everyone!

In observance of Labor Day, the City Offices will be closed today, September 5. The offices will reopen with normal business hours tomorrow, September 6.

The City of Gulfport remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

In observance of Memorial Day, the City offices will be closed Monday, May 30. Normal business hours will resume Tuesday, May 31.

Who's ready for some baseball?! ⚾️⚾️⚾️

On Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10a-1p at the Gulfport Sportsplex Turf Fields, we will host the Big League Youth Baseball Fundamentals Camp instructed by Major League Stars Fred Lewis, Matthew Lawton and Jonathan Holder.

This camp is for ages 5-12 and you will need to bring your own bat and gloves. Metal cleats CANNOT be worn on turf fields.

Registration is currently being held at the Westside, Lyman and Orange Grove Community Centers and the Herbert Wilson and Gaston Point Recreation Centers during operating hours.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 28, 2022

It’s been such a special week at The Gulfport Sportsplex. We’ve had a blast hosting the SWAC tournament! Despite an initial rain delay, the weather has been fantastic and we’ve had a lot of fun competition.

This morning, Alcorn takes on Southern. The winner of this game will then take on Alabama State at 2 pm.

Day 2 was so much fun! 🥎

We have two more days of the SWAC tournament here at The Gulfport Sportsplex. We will be sharing the current bracket with tomorrow’s games starting at 11 AM.

We will have the SWAC 2021 championship softball tournament here from Tuesday-Friday!

It’s a beautiful time of the year and we are so happy to spend it with you!

The Gulfport Sportsplex has been busy providing fun for ALL ages.

We had a wonderful tournament this past weekend and started our adult leagues (Men’s & Co Ed) softball this week!

Many spectators cheered, ate and enjoyed some fun entertainment outdoors. Thanks to everyone for coming out and enjoying our wonderful, one-of-a-kind complex!

UPDATE:

The Gulfport Sportsplex dirt fields and soccer fields will be closed from April 5th- April 16th for annual maintenance.

All Gulfport Sportsplex fields will be closed on Thursdays prior to Sportsplex tournaments.

We appreciate your compliance at this time and we are looking forward to a great year at The Gulfport Sportsplex!

UPDATE:

Due to forecasted inclement weather, we have rescheduled our Easter Egg-Stravaganza (Drive Thru) event to Tuesday, March 30th, 6 PM.

Be sure to swing by for goodie bags, the Easter Bunny and vendors on site! We look forward to seeing you.

Mark Quintero has worked for The City of Gulfport for 13 years. Mark started as a GSE 1 in the Turf Maintenance Division and was promoted to Foreman 1 after just 3 years. He was then promoted again in 2020 to a Foreman 3. Additionally, Mark works another fulltime job!

Mark’s work ethic and dedication to the Leisure Services Department is highly appreciated and noticed. Mark is a team player and helps meticulously maintain the beautiful Gulfport Sportsplex that we have here in Gulfport.
