Introducing Bra Bits

Every woman deserves to wear a properly fitting bra, so we are starting our bra bit series for some bra education starting with the make up of a bra!

Straps - These make up a portion of the lift, we say about 20%. They should not bare the entire weight of your breast, they should be used to even the girls.

Band - This is a very important aspect of the bra because majority of the support should come from a properly fitting band. This is the number of your bra size. If you band moves during the day, it is either too big, worn out, or both.

Gore - The center piece of your bra should lay flat against your chest to give you complete separation of the girls. This helps the uncomfortable b**b sweat in the summer months.

Wing - These counterbalance the weight of the girls to give stability within the bra. It is directly related to your band.

Cups - This is the piece that directly touches your breast tissue. This is known as the letter of your bra size. You want to ensure the underwire reaches all the way behind the breast tissue for a good fit. Clear signs that your cups may not fit could be the bubbling out of the top, extra side b**b, or gapping.
