Date night with my hubby. One thing we have learned after nearly 10 years married and 11 years together is that we need to be intentional about having time together. We both work hard individually to build ourselves and build our future together. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, especially with 2 young children. He isn’t the man I married 10 years ago, but an even stronger, wiser and better one. In marriage and life, you both grow. I love seeing our individual growth and growth as a couple. God is good! Love you babe! ❤️
Did you know that in the US, on 39 out of 50 states require S3x Education? It is mandated in public schools by law or state standards. In those states, curriculum varies based on the district. Only 5 states require s3x education for students with disabilities. In those states it is left up to the comfortability of the teacher. S3x Education is so important for youth, but even adults. It’s myth that everyone knows and understands human s3xuality. S3x Education not only teaches safe s3x practice, but should also cover healthy relationships, hygiene skills, growth and development and it should be inclusive and equal. This is why i do what i do as a S3xuality Educator. If you got things you’d like to learn about submit those questions here on my website at www.lrcsxeducation.com
Wednesday Quote of the Day: “Sexuality is one of the biggest parts of who we are.” ~ Carla Gugino. Sexuality is a big part of who we are and it is one of the most taboo subjects. Everyone is a sexual being from birth. Sexual growth and development doesn’t begin at puberty but occurs across our lifespan. Sexuality is more than be physically intimate with someone, bigger than sexual orientation or identity. Sexuality is much deeper and encompasses understanding all of who we are biologically, psychologically and social culturally.
“If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness”. - Joyce Sunada. You are a priority too. It is so important to take care of yourself. “Health is wealth.” Our body systems are interconnected. When our mental health is off, it can impact our physical and vice versa. You’re sexual health can even impact your wellbeing. Take time to take care of yourself. ❤️ 💯
“Cardinals appear when angels are near” as some legends say. Today at the Zoo during much needed family time a beautiful cardinal flew nearby me and my family. Thinking of my beautiful Mama Lola who is our guardian angel in heaven. We miss you Lola! Beautiful reminder to cherish those you hold dear everyday. Time with family is so important ❤️🪽

In case you needed a Wonder Woman strength reminder of how much of a bad ass you are like I did today…Read these words, “You are stronger than you believe. You have greater powers than you know.”- Antiope to Diana, Wonder Woman movie. Wonder Woman Woman has always been one of my favorite comic book heroines and movies. I love you the goal Gal Gadot had, to empower other women. Regardless of your race, size, age, background, circumstances…you are a strong, intelligent, powerful, fierce, force of nature and talented woman! The strength, power and will to succeed and overcome is within you!

Happy Thursday! I hope today’s 2 positive quotes about confidence and believing in yourself inspires you. These photos of me show the woman I am today. I had to learn to embrace my body and all of who I am. I struggled with confidence and body image, especially being a plus size woman and after I had my kids. It took me time, but I learned how to build my confidence and love myself. Believing in yourself, loving yourself and knowing your worth all impacts your self-confidence. Lack of self love can negatively impact your overall wellbeing, from mental health, sexual health and physical health. Incase no has told you..You matter! You are beautiful just the way you are! When you walk through this life standing tall like a sunflower and proudly being you, it’s powerful! If you’re struggling with self image like I did, one thing I did was learn how to dress for my body type. It was a huge confidence boost. How we dress impacts how we carry ourselves and feel. No matter your fashion style, find what makes you feel sexy, confident, comfortable and strong. 🔑
Hi all! Can you help us reach our goal?! My children and I will be participating in the Empower Run 5k on May 4! We are trying to raise $1,000 to help support the nonprofit, A Safe Place that helps individuals impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking. I have the blessing of being part of the Family Visitation Center (FVC). Any bit helps keep the vital programs and services provided by A Safe Place running. Domestic Violence impacts 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men. 1 in 3 high school students experiences dating violence. Help us continue to make a change in Lake County Illinois!
Team FVC - Empower Run 5k A Safe Place is Lake County's only domestic violence provider. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men are impacted by domestic violence. 90% of children witness the abuse. Team FVC or Team Family Visitation Center is part of ASP great mission to end domestic violence and human trafficking. At the Family Vi...
