What an incredible Summer teaching new students!! I'm talking 3-10 year olds that in just a few weeks are doing the front/back crawl, floating on their back, swimming/holding their breath under water, jumping in the deep end, treading water, retrieving diving sticks/rings under water!
AND... We're only half way through!!
You should all be so proud!!🏊💦☀️👣👍

My heart breaks posting this. While this didn't happen in a pool and the individual was 19, it can happen even easier at home. Especially with young children.
People think this can never happen to them ... IT'S EXACTLY WHY IT HAPPENS!!
Swim lessons are wonderful but can never "DROWN PROOF" a child.
Parents, please layer your security/safety at your pool:
1 DOOR ALARM INSIDE YOUR HOUSE
2 GATED AND LOCKED FENCE AROUND YOUR POOL
3 ALARM ON YOUR POOL
4 REMOVE ALL "ATTRACTIVE NUISANCES" IN AND AROUND YOUR POOL AND YARD (toys and floats left by the pool)
5 REMOVE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE CLIMBED ON/OVER TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE POOL (storage boxes, tables, chairs against or near the fence)

Hackettstown Patch One of the most important lessons you can provide for your children! A scraped knee or a fall off a bike are usually easy to come back from. A fall in the pool can be very hard to come back from.
Candid, yes. So candid! Every child needs to learn how to swim....
