The 9/11 Memorial Service begins at 8:30 a.m. in front of Haddon Fire Company No. 1. Please see their post for the times the air horn will sound.
Notice to residents: Tomorrow morning during our 9/11 memorial service we will be sounding two long blasts of our air horn to symbolize when both planes struck the World Trade Center (8:46am and 9:03am EST). If you are available, we encourage you to join us and reflect on the tragedy that occurred on September 11, 2001. The service will begin at 8:30am and will be held in front of our fire house.

Update on the repair of the steps at the Haddonfield Public Library.
Front Entry Construction News: The Library main entrance will not be accessible on September 5 and September 6 as the final portion of the front steps are repaired. Access to the building will be available on Haddon Avenue via the stairwell to the lower level. This is not an ADA accessible entrance. If you rely on ramp access to the Library, please consider letting us help you with curbside delivery for reserved items by calling 856-429-1304, menu option 2.
Borough offices are closed on September 2 for the Labor Day Holiday.
A double-route Trash and Recycling Collection will be on September 3rd (Monday and Tuesday together).

🚲 Calling Bike Riders in Grades 2 - 8:
Colleen Bianco Bezich, Mayor of Haddonfield, HPD, and the Haddonfield School District are hosting a Bike Rodeo with an obstacle course for Haddonfield residents in grades 2nd through 8th. Bring your bike and helmet to the Central School on September 19 from 4 to 6 pm.
The Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey and Safe Kids Southern New Jersey, led by Cooper University Health Care, will participate in this fun way to learn the rules of the road and the importance of wearing a helmet!

2024 Road Project update for Westmont Avenue: crews continue removing and replacing concrete on Westmont Avenue with anticipation of roadway restoration next week.
Reminder: The Commissioner’s work session is tonight, 6:30 pm at Borough Hall.

The Department of Public Works crews are on Borough streets today, clearing storm drains and inlets before the expected storm.
After a heavy rainfall, debris will clog the inlets again. DPW asks for residents' assistance in keeping the inlets clear of vegetation.
For inlet issues, please call DPW at 856-429-0183, 8:30 - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. After hours, call police non-emergency, 856-429-3000.
The annual Paper Shredding event is on Saturday, September 14, from 9 am to 12 pm, in the parking lot behind Borough Hall.
