We wanted to kickoff the week by welcoming our newest team member, Evie! Evie’s a Patient Manager who loves shopping, house decoration, and spending time with her two kids. She has a 6-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy. A fun fact about Evie is she recently graduated this year as a skincare specialist and enjoys being an esthetician as a side job. Please give Evie a warm welcome!

Our patient manager Casey had her baby! Thanks to everyone who participated in the guesses for her baby pool. Here are the final stats:

Mark Christopher Jr. was born on 5/2 at 7:04pm weighing in at 6lbs 7oz with a length of 19 1/2 inches.

Kaila, thank you for your kind words and thoughtfulness! And congratulations on graduating from graduate school! We love what we do and get the greatest reward from making our patients feel good about their smile! We never take for granted that patients can choose to go anywhere and we’re always grateful they choose us for this “service”, as we consider orthodontic treatment to be a service and NOT a business.

We were pleased to sponsor Tatem Fair again this year! It may have been rainy, but we all made the most of it! We sponsored the petting zoo and featured a bean bag toss at our station to win a prize. Prizes included an animal mask, animal patterned balloon, and our drawstring backpacks. Thanks for everyone who came out to support this awesome annual community event!

We love sharing smile transformations with you all! Another one of our fantastic patients completed treatment. He went from someone hesitant to smile to showing a beaming, confident grin! While we wished Melissa the happiest of birthdays this week, today’s her actual birthday! Give her some love and thank her in the comments if there was a time she came in clutch to squeeze you in for an appointment, answer one of your questions, or cover a host of other duties that she juggles everyday. Not all heroes wear capes!✌️

Shalea brought her daughter Kendall to our office today for ! We did indeed put Kendall to work & she did an exceptional job. She kept saying how much she wants braces! She learned about expanders, made retainers with Savannah, took pictures, cleaned up the lab & put a smile on everyone’s face.

Welcome home Dr. James! She just spent 9 days as one of the instructors for a cohort of international students at the Tweed, Charles H International Foundation for Orthodontic Research. It is the oldest continuing education program in any speciality of dentistry. It’s been around since 1946.

Side trivia: orthodontics is the very first recognized speciality in the profession of dentistry. Charles Tweed was honored with the first speciality certificate in all of orthodontics. It’s an international sharing of ideas with educators and students from all over the world, collaboration, and camaraderie!

As the school year is winding down, we wanted to introduce our new contest to celebrate the amazing teachers in our community! If you have a teacher that’s gone above and beyond for you, here’s how you can nominate them for this award: either write a short essay or send a video (or link to a video) explaining why this teacher has made a positive impact on your education & your life.

Be sure to include your full name, the teacher’s name, your school, and your grade level. Email all essays & videos to [email protected] before 6/1/24.

We’ll review all submissions & select 3 teachers in our local schools who will each win a $100 massage gift certificate thanks to your thoughtful submissions, along with a special rock trophy. Nominate your teacher today!

Congratulations to Dylan who won the jelly bean Guesstimation Station! His sister Isabelle picked up the prize for him, which is a gift certificate to Primo Water Ice. The total number of jelly beans in the jar was 978.

Kávé is no stranger to the camera. When the Philadelphia Museum of Art shared about their upcoming submission series for dog portraits, we had to submit. We are so pleased to announce that Kávé will be featured this fall in an exhibit titled “Modern Dog.” Here are two photography pieces that will be curated. Feel free to comment your favorite picture of him! Dr. James will even bring Kávé outside of the museum for the opening day of the exhibit on 9/28 for a photo op. More details to be released soon. Next time you’re in the office, be sure to congratulate Kávé!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia! After a successful month of cultivation, we’re excited to announce that the people have spoken! Savannah & Casey’s Chia Pet #2 is the decisive winner of our office’s ! Thanks to everyone who voted. Dr. James took us out to lunch to celebrate, they each won Wawa gift cards & we announced the winner after today’s team meeting.

We’re gearing up for Easter! Can you guess how many jelly beans are in the jar? Next time you’re in our office, place your best guess & the closest submission will win a prize! Hint: it’s more than 300 & less than 3,000.
