First Breach is proud to share that the Bridgeville Delaware Rifle and Pistol Club Shooting Team has taken the silver medals in 2023 US NRA F-Class National Championships for the entire United States! These championships were hosted in Phoenix, Arizona from October 29th - November 5th. Throughout these dates, both mid-range and long-range matches were held for the championships. All mid-range shooting was held at 600-yard targets and all long-range shooting was held at 1,000-yard targets 💥🔫

First Breach traveled to 340 Defense located in Charles Town, WV, on August 13th. 340 Defense is an outdoor shooting range and fi****ms training center serving the Washington, DC area including Northern Virginia, Central Maryland, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. The four shooting ranges include 15, 50, 100, and 300 yards. Matt Gann, the general manager of 340 Defense, was more than happy that we had chosen them to demo First Breach ammunition.

While our team was there, they met up with Peter Semak, an ammunition expert in his field. He is well-known in the area for his vast knowledge of weaponry and ammunition. Peter has been a decorated competition shooter, range safety officer/manager, and still loads ammunition to dial in match-grade weaponry. Knowing Peter's high standards, we knew that all the hard work and dedication to quality control was about to be held to the highest standards. During round one on the 15-yard range of Peter testing our ammunition, he was very pleased with the results. Ten rounds were fired, and Peter held 2" groupings. As Peter was doing his second round of testing our ammo, many other shooters were interested in First Breach and wanted to put our ammo to the test. The shooters would come back after trying them out to give feedback on how well the ammo performed in their weapons.

Peter had gathered his data after he was finished and was amazed. He used words like "amazing, unheard of, and impressive" to describe the First Breach ammunition. He then went over the data to our team, the data averaged was as follows:

VELOCITY: 1094
EXTREME SPEAD: 31
STANDARD DEVIATION: 9

Peter was not expecting these numbers at all. He stated, "I thought that since it was mass produced ammunition that I would see a greater variation." He then proceeded to explain that the ammunition felt more like hand loads because of the little variation. Peter summarized that if this is what we hold our 9mm to, he could not wait to try our completed rifle rounds.

It was a great day to be at 340 Defense shooting our U.S. made ammo and we cannot wait for Peter Semak to try our rifle rounds! 🇺🇸

First Breach was honored to be a stage sponsor just recently back in June at the 5th annual Stand By To Fly Event and Maine State USPSA Championship to benefit the Travis Mills Foundation. Travis Mills is a veteran who lost all four of his limbs during his third tour of duty. His foundation benefits the soldiers and families who need it and they do an amazing job! This event has grown from raising $7,000 in the first year to now, in its 5th year, raising over $100,000 for this amazing cause.

The match took place at the beautiful and very hospitable Hampden Rifle and Pistol Club in Hampden, Maine. 24 groups of shooters descended upon the multiple stage course over a two day period in wet, windy, and cold conditions, but nothing broke their commitment to attending this match. First Breach was introduced to many of the competitors and they got to look at our match-grade samples of 9x19mm New Brass Casings as well as our FMJs. Each competitor was asked what their greatest expectations are when they are choosing components. We often heard just this one word, “CONSISTENCY.” Thankfully, First Breach Match-Grade Components are just that; consistent.

There were three shooters in the competition using First Breach components and they were very pleased with the performance of the ammunition! These three men, Mark Darrigo Jr., Elvin Dumas, and Mark Root gave us pride to know that they rely on our products and appreciate what we do. They are confident that First Breach, Inc. will remain dedicated to manufacturing the best components in the world so that the best shooting performance is always achieved.

From the vendors, to the volunteers, to the spectators and to the shooters, there was a great time had by all! Despite the poor weather, the people all came out to support an amazing cause. Female firearm ownership is on the rise in the US, with women making up 29.2% of permit holders in 15 states. But the industry still has a long way to go in terms of inclusivity and diversity. Female fi****ms instructors and quality products for women are in high demand, and there is a need for more women in manufacturing, marketing, product development, and retail. At First Breach, we are are adamant about our commitment to inclusivity and we are extremely proud of the dedication of our female staff and supervisors to our business as well as the industry.

First Breach recently hosted a woman's machinist training program from the local college, and we intend to work with them in training and hiring more female machinists and staff. The demand for female instructors is growing, and ranges should prioritize hiring knowledgeable female instructors as they are highly sought after by both women and men with little to no experience.
