The Garden at Creep Hill

Supporting our local community holds a special place in my business and my heart. When it’s a fundraiser with my church, Hub City Vineyard - it’s even more special!

Come join us tomorrow from 4:00 to 7:00 pm for a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser! I will be serving up the sauce! And speaking of sauce - I should mention the sauce is lovingly being made by the owner of Rocco’s. If y’all are locals - then you likely remember Rocco’s!!

As an added bonus, I will have sweet potted plants for sale with all money being donated directly to the cause. And what’s the cause you ask? Raising funds to bring awareness and support to local victims (and potential victims) of human slavery and trafficking.

Madison Lynn came home to Creep Hill to visit for a few days and this morning I glanced at her pile of stuff she is packing up to take back to her home today. Apparently someone went plant shopping while Paco and I were asleep.

I also see that some of my sourdough starter and a few kitchen items made it into the pile. I mean at least she knows the good stuff to take 😂.

Safe travels on those country roads back to WV today my girl. You are doing incredible things with your one precious life and the entire Creep Squad is so proud of you!

After our Sourdough 101 class yesterday with The BlueTruck Homestead - I came back to their farm to visit with all the animals (including my little cousins 😂).

I’m so happy to report that Paco’s first feral cat conquests have officially been tamed by the kids on the farm and are learning all about the goats and chickens and life in a barn. Pancake and Waffle are their official new names.

I also spent some time getting to know Rocket who we think (fingers crossed) will be Jolene’s new baby daddy. For those new to my page, my cousin and family keep my attitudinal goat Jolene.

It was an awesome Sunday and we’ve got some new fun in the works for you this Spring!!

Pickup off the dual highway in Hagerstown, at Solara Roots in Boonsboro or Thick-n-Thin. Pickup arrangements will be made after the sale.

I have received so many messages in the last week from our favorite Creep Squad fans asking for an online plant sale!!! I also happen to have an inventory of what I call my “wallflowers”. The babes that just have not sold at our retail locations. The beautiful ones that for whatever reason have not caught the right eye.

The weekly Thick N Thin Brewing Co. Plant drop has arrived!!! A few spooky season plants plus one of the most gorgeous Staghorn Ferns I’ve had are available along with some of your other favorite green friends!

As an added bonus, one of our faithful TNT plant friends special ordered two huge plants for her new sunroom (which btw is drool-worthy!!) - so I met up with her and we gently shoved them into her car! Stay tuned for pics of them in their new home!

We received a message today from Libby Thompson on the Splitleaf she snagged from us at TNT. It was honestly a bit sad and barely thriving when she decided to become her mom and now look at her!!! Absolutely thriving!!

We are set up and ready to spend our quarters and sell y’all some plants today at the Friends of KC Inc. Quarter Auction today!

For those that know me, I was the co-founder of a local dog rescue for almost 8 years and in that time saw this organization grow beside us. They helped us locate several lost dogs and I know without a shadow of doubt that if Paco were to escape my border wall, they would be my go to source to help find him!

It’s gonna be a great day raising funds for an incredible cause!

Summer gardening season is over and our jam-packed Fall workshop and pop-up schedule is in full swing!! Check out where we will be over the next two months and stay tuned for an extra special Paco in-person meet and greet opportunity coming in November!

The day Paco finally legit caught himself not one, but two ferals.

As many of our faithful fans know, Paco’s main job in our garden is border patrol (aka keep the feral cats outta his space). He takes this job very seriously, rain or shine, he is always on task. And today, cornered in the mums we found not one but two feral tuxie babes.

Mr. Creep Hill put on gloves, not to pick up the kittens, but to pick up Paco so we could get to the kittens 😂.

Luckily our cousins over at The BlueTruck Homestead were in need of some new barn cats and Emmy is the ultimate animal whisperer. She will have this brother / sister duo trained up in no time and living the fat cat life.

Paco on the other hand is BENT that he couldn’t keep his catch and is currently nursing a fresh bottle of tequila. No lime. No salt. No ice. Just the worm.

Fall planting season is upon us - it's time to start planning and sowing for the fall harvest. In Western Maryland, our first average frost date is right around October 13th-ish. The first frost date is the average frost date where the temperature drops to below 32 degrees in your area.

Join us in a special Creep Hill shout-out to my daughter and only employee - Madison - who started today at WVU Medicine Center for Hope and Healing as an intern! She nailed her summer grad school session with straight A's and is now in her final year of grad school.

Madison is passionate about helping her fellow humans, and most especially the homeless and addicted population. She has already made such a huge impact and we cannot wait to see what she does with her beautiful life. Don't worry - Madison has plans to continue to occasionally pop in and help with events and make special plant runs to our Morgantown clients throughout the next year.

Congrats Madison! Love you to the moon and back my girl!

Hitting the brewery this evening with a fat-n-fresh plant re-stock featuring this big beefy boy - a Golden Barrel Cactus 🌵!

We will also be dropping off our most asked for product - Protect with Neem Oil from We the Wild! This spray is amazing, the best smelling Neem on the planet! Use it to keep your leaves clean and photosynthesizing and the nasty little bugs away!!
