Little Leaf Art Studio
"Where everyone is an artist."
I have free wifi, AC, running water, and cute animals for emotional support.
I would like to start a donation pile for the community as well, so if you have any extra supplies, please bring them to the studio.
Unfortunately Little Leaf still does not have power. As soon as we do, we will be up and running again. I miss my kids so much! I hope and pray everyone is safe.
It feels so trivial to be upset about this, but the storm destroyed my kiln shed/pottery pick up shed. Kilns are not light, or cheap, I have no idea how it knocked my kiln over, and tore the control panel off of it. More pottery pieces survived than expected, but I was holding back tears as I picked up broken peices of pottery from my students and clients. I have such an emotional connection to things people create in the studio. Even when kids forget to take their art work home, and never come back to pick it up, I keep it, for years. It is time to create some Kintsugi.
I was finally able to check on the studio, and unfortunately the pottery pick up shed was demolished. A lot of the finished pieces were surprisingly still intact, but unfortunately many of them were destroyed. I am so very sorry.
To give everyone time to prepare for the storm tomorrow I decided to suspend tonight's class as well as Thursday and Friday's. Please stay safe, and reach out if you need anything.
If the storm hits as projected, we will reschedule classes. Keep an eye on what Lowndes County schools decided.
Life is better with a cat!

We have a new batch of kittens at the studio. They are too young for adoption right now, but can be put on adoption hold. Come visit them and fall in love just like we have. Arianna is a regular at the studio, and she instantly fell in love with them as well.
They tested positive for FIV, but at this age it is possible that it is a false positive because of antibodies from thier mother.
Visit the website to register your kids for an art class. The elementary classes are full, but if you would like to be added to a waiting list, please feel free to contact me. www.littleleafartstudio.com/classes
