DID YOU KNOW?!?!?!?!
Nearly half of holiday decoration fires happen because decorations are placed too close to a heat source.
It's fun to decorate for the winter holidays, but holiday decorations can increase your risk for a home fire. As you deck the halls this season, be fire smart.
- Inspect holiday lights each year before you put them up. Throw away light strands with frayed or pinched wires.
- Water your Christmas tree every day. A dry tree is dangerous because it can catch on fire easily.
- Consider using battery-operated flameless candles, which can look, smell, and feel like real candles.
- If you do use lit candles, make sure they are in stable holders and place them away from combustible items, where they cannot be knocked down easily.
Plug only one heat-producing appliance (such as a space heater) into an electrical outlet at a time, and never use an extension cord.

Please look twice❣
In the past two weeks we have responded to two motorcycle/car accidents on Rt. 9 that resulted in a serious injury for one motorcyclist and a fatality for the other. We remind all motorists to look twice and always be expecting motorcycle traffic during warm weather months.
We were on scene (along with the Red Cross) during the fire at the Mohawk Terrace Apts in Clifton Park on July 4th. Unfortunately we were only able to assist the 8 families that met us there. If you happen to know anyone involved, please have them reach out to us through our Voice mail Number (518)435-4571 to leave their name and contact number.
Thank you!
