We provide immunizations and health assessments for children and young adults birth to 20 years of age. Walk-ins are accepted for immunizations from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Health assessments are available by appointment only. Please call us at 252-583-5021 to schedule an appointment. Please bring your child’s immunization record to your visit.

Please see the link below for the most recent update from the Virginia Department of Health in regard to the ongoing environmental issue resulting from the South Hill, VA Warehouse Fire that occurred on July 6, 2024.

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is lifting portions of the recreational water and fish consumption advisories issued in response to a chemical storage facility fire on July 6. The portion of the advisory being lifted is for a section of the Meherrin River that starts at Route 138 (Union Mill Road) flowing Southeast through the Town of Lawrenceville and the City of Emporia to the North Carolina state line.

North Carolina State Emergency Response Team Actively Monitors and Prepares for Impacts Resulting from the South Hill, VA Fire

Press Release — The North Carolina State Emergency Response Team is in close coordination with agencies in Virginia regarding the ongoing environmental issue resulting from the South Hill, VA Warehouse Fire that occurred on July 6, 2024. The warehouse facility contained a large quantity of agricultural chemicals and runoff from the firefighting efforts has entered several water systems in southern Virginia, including the Meherrin River from its confluence with Mountain Creek, and the Miles and Dockery Creeks, upstream of the Roanoke River (Lake Gaston).

Urgent Important Update:

With recent advisories issued as a result of the industrial fire in South Hill, VA on July 6th, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Water Resources (DWR) is urging public health officials to bring awareness to the nature of potentially affected areas to include Halifax County. Runoff is flowing downstream into the Meherrin and Roanoke Rivers and will continue to be tested and monitored for any potential harmful exposure.
