This is a controversial topic amongst many artists 👀 which services are truly safe or not safe during pregnancy/if you’re breastfeeding?

Here’s the thing 👇🏻

Researchers have found that services such as brow lamination or lash lifts are not harmful to baby. A study showed that exposure to chemicals from brow dyes or lamination products results in very limited systemic absorption unless there are burns, scratches, or abscesses on the treated area. Therefore, these chemicals are unlikely to reach the placenta to cause harm to the unborn fetus.- that doesn’t mean the risk doesn’t exist for the mother. Our largest organ: our skin, could react to these services due to hormonal changes.

Personally, this is a tricky topic for me as a professional. It’s important to always explain the risks to our clients. We can always find a mid point as long as the client and I see eye to eye. What are your thoughts? Let’s talk about it In the comments 👇🏻👇🏻💜

I went to a spiritual retreat when I was 18. I was going through a difficult time in my life and my boss at the moment took me with her to this place. I didn’t know what to expect and I didn’t know what I was going to experience. I was a bit skeptical to be honest. One of the exercises was to lay on the floor with our eyes closed and just listen to what they were saying. I think I fell asleep and in that “dream” I saw myself but in like a more adult/ grownup version. She told me very briefly that everything was going to be okay and to trust her. I didn’t know what it meant.

Like 5 years ago I was thinking about that moment and I did my research. Turns out, I got the chance to talk to my higher self!!!! 🥹🌟🌟 You have no idea how everything started to make sense. I had to break before I became her. It was such a powerful moment and point in my life. So when I see myself in this picture it’s “her” who in seeing 💕

Trust your process and embrace it. I promise everything will be okay

Another transformation for the books 😱!!! Let me start of by saying these brows took YEARS to rehab but giiiirl, it’s was worth it. This client has been with me for over 6 years and the progress has been INSANE! Her brows look completely different now and the hair is now growing back healthier and softer (although her brows are on the curly side). Back story: She used to tweeze and shave her brows at home. Back in the day it was in to remove the front of your brows and wear them very thin. Lucky for her, she grows a lot of HAIR and she’s still young so that plays a big part on the growth process. Also, stop tweezing at home and doing other DIY projects at home. Anyway, I’m speachless and I’m sure you are too 😜 Questions on brow growth? Drop them below!
Otra transformación para la historia!! 😱 - Dejame comenzar por decirte que estas cejas tomaron AÑOS en rehabilitar pero la espera fue justa y necesaria! Esta cliente ha estado conmigo por más de 6 años y el progreso ha sido impresionante. El vello está creciendo más sano y suave (a pesar de que se inclinan más tener rizos). Historial: Ella solía usar las pinzas y el perfilador. También se removía la parte frontal de la cejas porque antes se llevaban así. Esta a su favor que ella aún es joven y la velocidad del crecimiento de su vello es muy acelerada (eso y la combinación de no tocarlas más en casa. Pero bueno, yo quede loca con esta transformación y se que tu también 😜 Preguntas acerca de la restauración de cejas? Te leo 🙌🏽

Would you believe me if I tell you this is the same brow? 🫣😨 - When we tell our clients that patience is KEY we mean it! - Obvs, not everyone wants to wait 5 years to get brows like this but for those who wait 😚🤌🏽 This client had to go through a tattoo removal first, then, for several years we worked on working with the shape and regrowth. This process could be quite difficult for some clients since we have to leave so much hair around the edges but, we were able to camouflage those imperfections with brow tint. Then, we did a light Microblading cover up to create fullness and definition towards the tales. After 2 years, we started doing brow lamination and that was all we needed! 😍 From 1-10 how would you rate this ?

🇪🇸 Tu me creerías si te dijera que ambas fotos son la misma ceja? 🫣😨 - Cuando le decimos a nuestras clientes que la paciencia es CLAVE es súper cierto. Obvi, no todas las personas tienen la paciencia para esperar tanto tiempo pero para aquellos que son pacientes 😚🤌🏽. Primero, ella pasó por un proceso de remoción de tatuaje y durante ese proceso trabajamos en el diseño de su ceja. Cómo teníamos que dejar muchos vellitos en los bordes para estimular el crecimiento entonces optamos por agregar tinte a sus citas y ayudarla a camuflajear esas imperfecciones. Después de un tiempo, hicimos un nuevo Microblading para lograr definir los arcos y colas y luego con la llegada del Brow Lamination nos dimos cuenta de que ese era el toque que le faltaba! 😍 Del 1-10 cuanto le darías a esta transformación?

Mi familia lo es todo para mi. Los que me conocen saben que la conexión que tengo con ellos sobrepasa cualquier obstáculo. El habernos mudado de nuestro país 🇻🇪, dejarlo todo, y empezar desde 0, no ha sido nada sencillo. Es difícil cuando todo con lo que creciste se te arrebata de las manos. Ver cómo los planes que tenías (o tus padres tenían para ti) literalmente dan un giro 360.

Algo que me ha enseñado todo esto de ser inmigrante es que aunque planearte y organizarte es bueno, pueden venir sacudidas muy grandes que te obligarán a reinventarte y cambiarte el chip de un día para otro.

Mis retos se han visto así:
1. Mis padres y hermanos se mudaron a USA primero que yo. Yo apenas me graduaba del bachillerato y sabía que no podrían pagarme una universidad apenas me viniera.
2. Viví unos 3 años sola (desde los 17-20) donde experimenté muchos cambios emocionales. Mientras todos mis amigos podían tener una vida adolescente normal, yo tenía que pagar mis estudios, trabajar, costear mi vida y ahorrar.
3. Durante ese tiempo me volví dependiente de personas que no me sumaban. Me dejé manipular solo por el hecho de estar rodeada de gente y no afrontar la realidad de que me sentía sola.
4. Me mudo a USA y me reúno con mi familia después de 3 años 💕😍. Ahora me enfrento a otra cultura, otro idioma, otro estilo de vida. Pero ya era una Barbara más madura y lista para lo que viniera.
5. Me trasladaba en bici 🚲 de un trabajo al otro. El pago no era tan bueno pero yo estaba muy feliz agradecida por respirar otro aire y estar con los que me amaban.
6. A los años comienzo con Browaholics desde la casa de mis padres. Donde sacrifique mi cuarto, dormía en el piso pero donde poco a poco me fui dando a conocer.
7. Oficialmente abro mi primera suite. Mi hermana me acompaña aunque no podía darle un salario, se mantuvo a mi lado porque si creía en mi y en este proyecto.
8. Browaholics crece demasiado rápido 😱 y me doy cuenta que se ha vuelto uno de los retos más duros de mi vida. Pero si lees lo anterior, ya Universo me estaba preparando para este momento 💕
