General maintenance duties to be performed when not working with shipping/ receiving. Duties to include: cleaning, organizing, machine maintenance, etc. Pay BOE. Growth opportunities.

Work independently and as part of the team in a small family owned manufacturing facility located in Hamburg NY. Paid holidays, vacation and health insurance after probationary period. Simple IRA Match. Hours of operation Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Must have prior experience.
This position will consist of setting up and operating a variety of grinding machines such as external, centerless, internal and surface grinders to grind metal work pieces such as machine parts, dies, or tools. Duties will include working with blueprints or work piece layouts to determine grinding to be done, selecting the appropriate grinding wheel and dressing device, securing work pieces for processing, selecting feed rates, grinding speeds, depth of cuts and grinding wheel of size, shape and grade for each operation, and verifying dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications. Must have 5 years of related experience and/or training and good math and reasoning skills. Working with tolerances of +/- .0001 is a must.
Pay BOE.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Prior experience preferred but not a must.
Check parts for accuracy according to blueprints.
Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Pay up to $20.00 per hour.
