Yesterday, PMEA joined with National Association for Music Education music education advocates from across the country in Washington, DC to meet with policymakers to share the value of music education and some specific funding and policy asks.
PMEA met with members and staff from Senator Casey's office as well as Representative's Joyce, Thompson, Houlihan, and Lee.
These meetings are important to not only advocate for specific issues but to remind these policymakers about the valuable work music educators in Pennsylvania do every day.
