Financial Superhero’s to celebrate Financial Literacy Month, Junior Achievement in the classroom, off-site mentor networking meetings, I-Day, senior networking at the advisory board meeting, AOF raffle prep, community service and several scholarship presentations for AOF students! Sophomores in Hamburg AOF’s Computer Class recently learned the power of essential business communication by writing proper business letters to companies. Both Willow and Maddie wrote to local boutiques who responded with adorable comfort gifts they mailed to the students. Thank you Magpie and Beulah's General Store for such amazing support to our students at Hamburg High School! 💜💜💜

Double the field trips = double the fun! Tuesday juniors attended a professional etiquette conference at D’Youville University and Wednesday sophomores attended the WNY NAF Student Conference at Canisius University! Both such valuable experiences and excellent ways for our students to ! Plus, it was a perfect opportunity for our students to check out two great local colleges with impressive campuses!

New this year we are featuring the successes of Hamburg HS Academy of Finance Alumni on social media. It’s wonderful to see the variety of careers our past students are thriving in. Stay tuned for more AOF Alumni Spotlights! We are so proud! 💜⭐️💜⭐️💜

We're excited to announce our new board member, Katherine Leyonmark!

Katherine graduated from Hamburg High School in 2018. She served as the President of the Academy of Finance, Captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Team, Treasurer for the Cheerleading Program, Secretary of the Varsity H Club and Top 10 in her Class. Katherine graduated from Allegheny College in 2022 with a double major in Economics and Data Informatics. She recently graduated from M&T Bank’s Management Development Program and currently works as an Enterprise Risk Specialist.

It was a packed LMC for our Hamburg High School Academy of Finance General Membership meeting this afternoon! Important updates were shared with students including preliminary details about our upcoming AOF Advisory Board Spring Fundraiser, upcoming field experiences, internship information, officer applications, mentor reminders, graduation/scholarship information, summer projects and so much more!

This is a great way for freshmen students to learn more about the Hamburg High School Academy of Finance program. AOF Applications are due 3/15!

Thank you Village Engaged for holding this drive for those who still want to donate their bags to the MLK Day Food Drive that was cancelled last month due to weather.

Bad weather may have stopped us last month, but not this time! 😉 Help spread the ❤️ by making a non-perishable food donation at our MLK Day Drive-thru Redo Food Drive hosted by Village Engaged, the Village of Hamburg Parks & Recreation, and FeedMore WNY. You don't even have to get out of your car! On February 18 from 11 am-1 pm just drive-thru at the Youth Center. Our volunteers will take your donation, and then you can be on your way! Thank you for your support!

Thank you Hamburg Middle School & Frontier Middle School for your participation and support for the MLK Day of Service Hamburg Food Drive! Congrats to Frontier for collecting the most food to kick-off our drive! Hamburg Academy of Finance as well as our partners Village of Hamburg Parks & Recreation & The Service Collaborative of WNY were disappointed that the event was cancelled due to weather but your contributions collected 6000 pounds of food for FeedMore WNY! That is amazing! Our Hamburg High School Academy of Finance students had a great time weighing the donations and loading the truck! Special shout out to Mr. Mcfadden, his PE students and Mrs. Sampson’s Personal Finance students for helping also! We can’t wait until the next MLK Day in 2025! 💜💜💜

💜💜💜 Even with the MLK Day of Service cancelled this year, thanks to Hamburg and Frontier Middle Schools, we still collected 6000 pounds of food! 💜💜💜

These Hamburg Academy of Finance juniors had their Career & College Portfolio Interviews this week. Students demonstrated essential workplace competencies and showcased their accomplishments to business partners of AOF. They were all dressed to impress and did a fantastic job! Well done! 👍💜

We are looking for volunteer groups to help us deliver our MLK Day Food Drive door hangers to homes in the Hamburg area! MLK Day is coming up and this part needs to be done first!
