Breaking The Chains: ⬇️

💚 Shame can make you feel as though you are to blame for the actions of another. But let me offer you this gentle yet unyielding reminder: the shame is not yours to carry.

💚 Releasing the grip of shame is not an overnight process, and it often requires patience and persistent self-compassion.

💚 Every small step you take towards healing—whether it's attending a therapy session, practicing self-care, or simply acknowledging your feelings—is a step towards reclaiming the narrative of your life, one where you are the protagonist, not the shame that was unfairly thrust upon you.

I am thrilled to have been featured on
to answer some very interesting questions they had like:

"What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?"

💚 A lesson I had to unlearn was being a “Strong Independent Black woman”. This is a belief, pattern, and lifestyle that I inherited from prior family generations. Hyperindenpendence was lonely, sad, isolating, and exhausting.

I’ve since learned the power of community, collaboration, and vulnerability. Connecting with like-minded professionals is necessary for my personal and professional growth. I no longer strive for independence and seek interdependence from my tribe.

You Are Not Alone: ⬇️

💚 Raising a child with autism is a journey that is as unique as it is challenging—a path filled with its own triumphs and trials, moments of profound joy, and periods of deep concern.

💚 The challenges you face can be immense. From advocating for your child in educational settings to navigating social dynamics, your role extends far beyond that of a typical parent. The pressure to always be ‘on,’ to always provide, can be immense.

💚 Remember, in the midst of all that you do for your child, your own health—mental, emotional, and physical—is precious.

💚 By embracing practices and support systems that honor your wellbeing, you are not only doing what’s best for you but also modeling a powerful lesson in self-care for your child.

💚 Take a moment today to check in with yourself.

✨What does rest look like for you right now?
✨What does your nervous system need to heal?

💚 Give yourself the gift of rest and relaxation. It's not just self-care—it's essential maintenance for the incredible being that you are.

Something to consider: ⬇️

✨ As a woman, your health and well-being are precious. They're the foundation of everything you do, every dream you chase, every moment you live.

💚 Cannabis as an avenue for women's health issues is worth exploring, learning about, and talking to professionals who can guide you.

💚 It may be a lot to take in at first and you may also have some doubts/concerns but with the right guidance, I promise you'll find what works for you.

✨My DM's are open if you'd like to know more about how cannabis can address your particular issues as a woman OR send me an email at [email protected] to schedule a consultation call.

Happy women's history month!

03/26/2024

Black women’s struggle with resting is rooted in a historical context that dates back to the era of slavery and colonization.

Head on over to www.kevnesha.com to read about the historical context that has shaped Black women’s relationship with rest, the traditional roles that have often led to self-sacrifice, and the profound importance of rest in healing and wellness. Link is in my bio.

Photos from Kevnesha Boyd's post 03/25/2024

More beneath the surface: ⬇️

✨ I've been reflecting on the struggles of what is often mislabeled as 'laziness' among Black women.

✨ This 'laziness' is not a lack of will or absence of desire to act but is often a symptom of a much larger issue.

✨ It's the fatigue that comes from the constant battle against systemic barriers, the exhaustion from having to prove one’s worth repeatedly in spaces that fail to acknowledge or respect one's humanity.

✨ It’s the tiredness that seeps into the bones after facing microaggressions and overt discrimination, the weariness from having to navigate through a society that equates one's value with productivity.

💚 I see the courage it takes to stop and say, "I need to care for myself now," even when the world is shouting, "You must always be strong."

💚 I see a hidden battle with mental and physical health concerns that are too often ignored or stigmatized.

✨This so-called 'laziness' is anything but.

SWIPE to understand more --->

🤎 And to you, beautiful Black women, know that your rest is deserved, your pause is powerful, and your self-care is non-negotiable. You are not lazy! You are worthy, you are seen, and you are enough – always.

✨My DM's are open if you'd like to learn more about these struggles that can be perceived as laziness for black women OR send me an email at [email protected] to schedule your therapy session.

03/24/2024

A new sense of calm and joy to your routine: ⬇️

✨ Self-care rituals aren't just indulgences; they're acts of kindness to yourself. It's acknowledging that you deserve to feel good, to relax, to find joy in the little things. And if cannabis can play a role in that, why not try it?

💚 Remember, self-care isn't selfish. It's essential. And whatever helps you find peace, find joy, find a moment of stillness in this wild world, is worth considering...cannabis is that thing for you!

✨My DM's are open if you'd like to know more about how to incorporate cannabis into your self-care routine OR send me an email at [email protected] to schedule your consultation.

Happy women's history month!

Photos from Kevnesha Boyd's post 03/22/2024

Empty those pockets: ⬇️

✨ Those heavy stones in our pockets that we've been told to carry without question. They can weigh us down, make us feel less than, and hold us back from shining as brightly as we should.

💚 Unlearning these beliefs won't happen overnight. It's a process; one that takes time, patience, and a whole lot of self-love. But it's possible.

💚 It starts with recognizing these harmful whispers for what they are—lies. Then, bit by bit, replacing them with truths. You are enough. You are valuable. You are deserving of all the good things, just as much as anyone else.

✨ Challenge those beliefs. Question them. And then let them go, one by one. Fill those pockets with new beliefs, ones that empower you, support you, and celebrate you.

SWIPE to know what to release ------>

✨My DM's are open if you'd like to learn more about limiting beliefs OR send me an email at [email protected] to schedule your therapy session.

03/20/2024

No whispers about this! Let's be loud: ⬇️

✨ Navigating s*xual wellness can sometimes feel like moving through a maze blindfolded. There are expectations, past experiences, and internal dialogues that can turn what should be a journey of joy into one of uncertainty or frustration.

✨ As a woman, you might face societal messages that dictate how you should feel and express your s*xuality, or perhaps you grapple with the physical discomforts that go unspoken, whether it's due to hormonal changes, health issues, or emotional barriers.

💚 I invite you to explore cannabis as a means to better your s*xual wellness. You deserve to feel good, to experience pleasure, and to express your s*xuality in ways that bring you happiness and health.

✨My DM's are open if you'd like to know more about how to incorporate cannabis into your s*xual wellness routine OR send me an email at [email protected] to book your consultation.

Happy women's history month!
