I've been using a much smaller setup for my product photography shots. It's easier to deal with in terms of setup/breakdown and actually gives me a lot less to edit. I can get my shots done faster, but I also have creative restrictions sometimes due to the size. However, the glass is always half full. I get to focus more on subject details. Instead of creating these big attention-grabbing shots I can work on creating tighter, more meticulously crafted shots. My favorites so far are some I haven't posted. I might post them on the site.

An old college friend tapped me to do some t-shirt transfers for his brand. While I was setting the machinery up I got a package; I've been trying out garments from different wholesale suppliers. I'm getting the hang of balancing everything I have to do, custom t-shirt printing has been a way easier addition than I thought and that's probably because my dad used to do it so I'm familiar with it already. It's just so time consuming lol.

Been trying out a few different wholesale suppliers to see who has the best, I think I like these guys a lot. Couldn't help but to take a picture of what I bought. I prefer wrinkled clothing mockups (or any kind of fancy shmancy display) because a plain old perfectly ironed set up just doesn't look natural to me. Its boring.

This footage is from mid or late December, I was gifted a GoPro and put it to use for the first time to get some BTS of a product shoot for the skincare company I work closely with. The plan was to challenge myself to do it in 45 minutes, and I definitely failed lol. It was definitely 2 hours or more. But what do you expect? I plan the photos (on the fly most of the time), style the products, do the shooting, and then clean everything up for the next shot. Editing is a post-production process that takes its own time.

I utilized Generative AI to edit 3 of the 5 photos I shot in this video. I didn't have the ingredients and was too lazy to run to the store to purchase them. I'm sure they would've turned out completely different if I did. At the end, there's a reel I created from this shoot shortly after filming it. The idea was to start chopping my shoots down to 1 minute and give a bunch of advice and encouraging words for everyone starting to follow their dreams.

This episode is mostly raw & uncut. I record using a Canon R6, GoPro Hero 9, iPhone 13 & iPhone 11. Sometimes I get lazy though & just record with one device, this one is mostly shot on the 13. This was one of those days where I didn't really wanna record but I had to record. Sometimes you'll make crappy work, but art is subjective.

You don't need a big crazy expensive set up at all. It's nice to have but if you're just getting started, just use your phone. This is just to inspire you to get up and start doing it.

I've been going crazy with this GoPro lately. It makes filming behind the scenes stuff so much easier. It's perfect for taking you behind the camera with me & especially helpful when I'm being lazy & don't wanna set everything up to film my other shenanigans.

I'm still perfecting my DTG/DTF skills. I'm still figuring out how to manage my time better. Since we skipped season 2, I'm gonna include some of that footage in season 3 of DAYDREAM COME TRUE. I took the opportunity to attend a movie shoot of an old friend of mine who's a Director. He was shooting a short film & this scene is completely from the MC's POV.

I snapped a few pics, filmed a couple clips, vibed for a little bit & went home. A few months later in the year (October I think) he offered me the opportunity to help him cover a teacher's conference. Power of networking & relationships, right?

Creativity is self expression, no? For most, any medium of creative expression is the best therapy. For example, you feel the emotion in the voice of a soul singer. They're letting it all out, their anger, sadness, joy, everything.

For a number of months I was feeling stuck, lost even. Like maybe this isn't for me, maybe it never was. Maybe I've just been roaming around in a heat haze, you know? Like what if everything I'm working towards is just me chasing a fever dream? Imagine the chaos of telling yourself to keep going while feeling like you're running in a circle, knowing that if you give up you'll never know how close you were to the breakthrough. I'd never been so frustrated in my life, keeping faith but losting it at the same time.

That's exactly what needed to be expressed, fiery anger pushed to tears.
