All Louisiana Residents please take a stand against these unjust laws. People often ask me why can’t they buy a baby turtle anymore. Well most of these proposed laws are passed hardly without any of us knowing. These extensive and overreaching regulation changes regarding reptiles & amphibians, both native and non-native are ridiculous but include:

Species Bans
Harmful caging/care requirements
New permit requirements (they want more 💵)
And much more!

This will affect anyone owning a pet reptile or amphibians especially if laws pass and you have to register any pets and pay for additional permits but also be required to provide uncommon/uncomfortable housing in which can stress your pet or even kill them.

What’s next in saying that this law gets passed that they will start passing laws on the dogs and cats we own?

We took a stand when Hardhide needed it and I know we can do this. This will affect even those with pet turtles, bearded dragons, snakes & more! The time is now to share and send a email before March 6. The info on who to send it to and a sample message is provided. Let’s unite and make a stand.
