We love seeing our scholars in the news! Check this out to learn a little bit about our current AHEC scholar Lem Cartman, why he chose healthcare and his future plans!
What if we told you that as a Valpo undergraduate alum, you could receive a 30% scholarship toward tuition in Valpo's master of business administration (MBA), master of public health (MPH), or master of health administration (MHA) programs?
Does that sound 2 good 2 be true? Well, Valpo’s Back2Beacon Scholarship is the real deal and 2 good to pass up! Take it from Lem Cartman '23, '24 MHA, who is currently on the 4+1 track to earn his master of health administration by 2024.
Lem says, “Once I looked at my natural talent for moving people combined with health care and the root causes of disparities, I changed my major to health care administration. I want to get to those root causes that keep disadvantaged people unhealthy.” His goal is to work his way into senior administration for a large hospital network – putting himself in a prime position to be the change he wants to see in the world. Now that’s what it means to be a Beacon!
If you’re ready to take the next step in your education and level up in your career like Lem, read how more about Back2Beacon at: valpo.edu/back2beacon ...again!
Congrats to the 27 Merrillville High School students that have completed the CNA course this year! We are proud of you all and always happy to support 🏴☠️💜🖤
