There are multiple types of Alopecia that all have varying degrees of hair loss. Statistically, about one-third of African American women will experience Alopecia at some point in life.

In fact, Jasmine (founding owner of Wash N Fro) was motivated by her own episode of Traction Alopecia due to overuse of hairstyles that did not promote the best hair health.
