Have your parents ever said something to you that was hurtful but you understood their mindset?

I’m asking because my daddy told me he never expected my life to turn out the way it did. I was initially like dang then I realized everything that happened in my childhood was why his mindset was that way. Both of my parents are/were (my mom is no longer here) convicted felons. I went to foster care when I was 14 because both of my parents were locked up.

Some of the things I saw and went through as a child I should have never experienced. At this age I still struggle with some of the hurt but I’m grateful that God kept his hand on me. I’ve been a full time entrepreneur since 2011 and I’ve seen some highs and lows but God’s grace has kept me. This year I’ve been reflecting on my childhood more and I know I still need healing. I’m just blessed because I don’t look like what I been through and my kids have never experienced the things I did.

I work hard so they can have the best of everything and not just materialistic stuff but the best of me, my love and my time 💜

My daddy is on here and he will see this but he knows I didn’t make this post will ill intent. Just reflecting on a conversation we had.

One thing I’ve learned with this entrepreneurship journey is your FAITH has to be strong! There will be times where it feels like things aren’t where they should be but you have to trust the process. I’ve experienced so many high and lows but I keep pushing. I’m grateful for all my experiences 💜

My life has literally been a movie so I’m about to starting telling you all my story because honestly it’s therapy for me and I never know who I could help 💜 Certaib things still make me cry at 38 years old but it’s healing in opening up and letting it go 😊🤗

I don’t post my work as much anymore because I’m 2 years from retirement. Hair is what grew my page but my life is so different now. I don’t work long hours in the salon day in and day out like I used to.

This career can take a toll on your body if you let it. I want to be able to do things with my kids and grandkids for a long time. I LOVE HAIR but I know I can’t do it forever.

So my page will be everything about my life, some hair, my children and my businesses 😍😍
