This is a drop-in program (pre-registration is NOT required), but an emergency contact form is required if a child is dropped off. The program is for grades K-8; children under six are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent at all times during the program.
Plans for this summer include presentations by Reptile Invasion, The Butterbee Foundation, and W***y Woo Woo & Friends. Lunch will be provided on four occasions at each park. The children will have free access to games, art supplies, and sports equipment daily. At the end of the program participants will be presented with a backpack which they will be able to fill with books and supplies as they prepare to head back to school. Each playground site creates its own agenda for each day. Last summer some activities included bingo, pinatas, bubbles, music Fridays, kickball games, making snow, spaceship building, and tie dyeing.
