We hear so many things about healing. About getting pieces of yourself back or thinking that it means we are not whole now but will be once we are “healed.” Maybe that isn’t what healing is though. Perhaps it’s growth, it’s feeling uncomfortable emotions and processing them so they no longer live inside of us, and it’s recognizing that our journeys can look similar at times and completely different at other times—and that’s perfectly OK.
