Congratulations to Megan Nguyen and Julia Fitzgerald, Hanover High School students, on being recognized at the Hanover School Committee meeting on September 18, 2024, and awarded the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Certificate of Academic Excellence.

The Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents has designed this award specifically for academic excellence. It is given to high school students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement throughout their high school careers, with a focus on their cumulative average and class rank over the past three years.

Hanover takes great pride in these outstanding student leaders!

We are launching a new patch featuring our comfort dog If you are interested in purchasing a patch, you can come down to the lobby of the police station and purchase one for $10. All funds will benefit directly for her training and supplies. Thank you!

On August 22, 2024, Cedar School's kindergarten students had a wonderful chance to meet their new classmates during the Cedar School Kindergarten Play Date and Bus Ride at the school playground.

Interim Principal Burns accompanied the students on a bus ride around Hanover, where they learned important "rules of the road." The ride concluded at Hanover Middle School, where families awaited their children, and the Cedar School PTA treated everyone to refreshing popsicles.

Special thanks to the Hanover PTA, Hanover Public Schools School Resource Officer John Voelkel, Sylvester the Hawk, and everyone at Cedar School who made this event memorable.

The Massachusetts State Primary will be held tomorrow, September 3, 2024! Polls will be open at Hanover High School, 287 Cedar Street, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Please note that September 3rd is also the first day of school. To avoid potential traffic congestion, consider steering clear of school arrival (7:30 am to 8:00 am) and dismissal (2:15 pm to 2:45 pm) times.

Parking will be available in the back of Hanover High School, and a police detail will be on duty to ensure smooth access for voters.

Hanover High's marching band tunes up for its first halftime show The Hanover High School marching band gets ready for its first halftime show scheduled for Sept. 13 during a football game against Hingham.
