You will be surprised how many people hold ill feelings towards you based on something negative someone told them about you. They never questioned the other person's motive or character and never approached you to get your side of the story.
They won't say anything, but you will notice a difference in how they handle you. When someone does this to me, it tells me they wanted or needed to believe that about me because it validates something within their own life. Me being whatever they were told solidifies the story they have been telling themselves about their own situation.
When you find yourself in this type of situation, don't waste your time attempting to get the record straight; take note of how they handle you and act accordingly. When a person behaves off of one-sided narratives (gossip), you don't owe them explanations---only distance and limited access.

It’s the not - acknowledging my humanity - for me. Our society is built on systems that celebrate and enforce productivity and labor over pretty much anything else. If you can’t labor you aren’t valuable. Humanity isn’t valued when oppression and the systems of colonization are prioritized. It’s just not possible. If you are the person that tells Black women any of the things I mentioned, check yourself. You aren’t helping.

Since I was a child I've always been inspired by bold flavors of Southern and Latin cuisine. So I decided to bring back the social component of "breaking bread" while sharing my culture and heritage with the joy of Southern Latin hybrid cuisine. This inspired me to create Yulonda's Edible Sensations, LLC.
Yulonda's Edible Sensations is a Southern-Latin artisan dessert catering company that specializes in creating delicious treats to tickle the customers palate. Y.E.S. produces flavorful desserts, which results in a warm and inviting memories of childhood, comfort and love in every bite. Just like mom or grandma use to make. So take a bite and enjoy a sweet memory.
This is my version of a modern and new niche in the restaurant industry. So if you want to indulge yourself in a decadent dessert or two, go ahead.
Now I understand people are more health conscious and are cutting out sweets from their dietary plans. However, you can have a little piece of delight in every bite of Y.E.S. dessert. Y.E.S. provides libation infused desserts as well as customized dietary desserts upon request.
