The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Tornado Warning for northeastern Willacy County until 8:15 AM CDT. At 8:06 AM, a severe storm capable of producing a tornado was located near Port Mansfield, moving southwest at 20 mph. This storm poses a tornado hazard with radar-indicated rotation. Flying debris, damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles, and tree damage are possible. The storm is expected near Port Mansfield and surrounding areas by 8:10 AM CDT.

At 9:28 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms with 50-55 mph wind gusts were tracked near Port Mansfield, moving southwest at 45 mph. These storms could affect areas like Rio Hondo, Harlingen, San Benito, and La Feria between 9:35 and 10:05 PM CDT, potentially causing tree damage and blowing around unsecured objects. Highways I-69E and US-281 are also impacted.

San Antonio Police have arrested a 12-year-old on seven charges of making terroristic threats.

Today, SAPD Detectives were made aware of this social media post that had been circulating on various platforms. The detectives worked to identify the individual responsible for this post and arrested him on 7 counsts of Terroristic Threats- Public Serious Bodily Injury.

SAPD urges parents to be aware of their children's social media activity. SAPD takes all threats seriously, and will make arrests whenever laws are broken.

Escaped inmate Jesus Villareal may have used a makeshift rope to escape the Huntsville Unit before he robbed a gas station and stole a car early this morning.

Cameron County celebrated the successful ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of Phase II of The Santa Rosa Community Park Baseball and Softball Field Renovation Project. This phase included the full renovation of two baseball fields, upgraded field lighting, the addition of a 22-space parking lot, and numerous other enhancements. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this project.

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Tornado Warning for Central Willacy County in Deep South Texas until 1130 PM CDT.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado has been detected near Arroyo City, moving west at 55 mph. This storm has the potential to produce flying debris, damage roofs, windows, and vehicles, and cause tree damage. Mobile homes are also at risk of damage or destruction.

The storm is expected to impact the following areas:

- San Perlita, San Perlita High School, Willamar, and Porfirio around 1105 PM CDT
- Raymondville, Lyford, Reber Memorial Library, Raymondville Golf Course, Lyford High School, Lyford Elementary School, Lyford City Hall, Raymondville Fire Station, Raymondville Police Department, and Raymondville High School around 1115 PM CDT
- Yturria around 1120 PM CDT

Other locations that may be impacted include Los Coyotes and Los Angeles Subdivision.
