Let's break it down!

TERM LIFE INSURANCE:
Term life insurance policies tend to be what the general public gravitates towards when looking for the coverage they need, but unfortunately, most people make uninformed decisions when enrolling into a term program.

Term policies promise the payout of a death benefit, but ONLY within a certain time period -- whether it may be 10, 20, or 30 years --- once the designated time period ends, the policy expires.
If someone out lives their term policy, there is no financial gain -- all of the money they spent on the term policy over the course of the term they chose is gone, because term policies do not grow a cash value. In other word's, term policies can NOT be used as an investment vehicle or a wealth building strategy.

In addition to losing money, the monthly premium for a term policy may START out very low, but every time the term renews, the monthly premium increases. Someone's premium could start at $50 and end at $500 --- not to mention the fact that if someone's term policy expires later in life, when they're in their 50's or 60's for example, it may be VERY difficult, if not impossible, to qualify for any other coverage --- which means that many people unintentionally leave their families absolutely nothing when they die.

Term coverage absolutely has a time and a place, but most people don't know any of the above information when making the decision to purchase a term policy.

WHOLE LIFE INSURANCE:
Whole life insurance policies are a form of PERMANENT protection. These policies NEVER expire and the monthly premiums NEVER increase and are locked in for life.

Whole life policies also grow a cash value and often times are used as an investment vehicle for building wealth. Most insurance providers guarantee an interest rate of 1%-2% annually, but American Income Life guarantees a 4.5% interest rate annually, allowing our policy holders to grow their cash value at a quicker rate.

Whole life policies give you the option to borrow against the policy's cash value for financial needs and the payouts are tax free.
