Zillow and Redfin both report that new listings outpaced home sales last month. New listings, nationwide, increased 13% from the previous year.

While there's an uptick in seller activity, buyers are also less motivated and therefore, inventory has increased. 📈

So what does this mean for both buyers and sellers? 🧐

🏠More inventory means buyer competition has eased and home price appreciation has slowed overall. This shift could give buyers the advantage they need to become homeowners in 2024, regardless of the interest rates.

💲More inventory and less buyer motivation means sellers will probably see their listings sit a little longer. However, sellers still have a slight advantage nationwide.
