The history of June has had some spectacular events occur over the years. Some of these items include the birth of Marilyn Monroe and Taylor Swift, D-Day, the first woman in space, the structure of DNA, admitting Kentucky as the 15th state, the introduction of color TVs and personal computers, and hiring Art in the Park! Today we celebrated Art’s 30 years of service. Not only are we lucky to have such a dedicated employee, but one who embraces his newfound celebrity role and always does so with a smile. If you happen to see Art out and about, please congratulate him and thank him for his dedication to our community.

The Outdoor Pool opens today at noon!

Hours: The Outdoor Pool is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, with Family Swim from 5 p.m. until close. From Friday to Sunday, the pool is open from noon to 6.
Admission: Season passes can be purchased at
the Harrisonville Community Center. Day passes will cost $7 for registered guests and $11 for non-registered guests.

Children under the age of 11 will require an adult
to attend with them.

Today was also the Senior's Day of Service. They too were busy testing equipment at the Community Center and prepping to get the Outdoor Pool ready for the upcoming season.
