Kelli Powers: President of Decatur Morgan Hospital

Kelli Powers has been leading Decatur Morgan Hospital since August 2020. Under her leadership, the hospital encompasses two acute care inpatient hospitals, a free-standing psychiatric hospital, an outpatient rehab facility, a medical mall in Hartselle, and 18 clinics across Morgan County, all part of the Huntsville Hospital Health System.

Before joining Decatur Morgan, Kelli was the Chief Financial Officer of Huntsville Hospital Health System for six years. She initially came to North Alabama in 2010 as the Chief Executive Officer at Athens Limestone Hospital and brings over 33 years of healthcare experience to her current role.

Kelli holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama and a Master of Management in Health Care from Vanderbilt University. Her extensive career includes roles at Lanier Health Services, UAB Baptist of Montgomery, East Alabama Medical Center, and the DCH Health System.

Kelli is an active leader in her community, serving as Chairman of the board of HWCF, a member of the board of Partners Cooperative, and a board member of both the Calhoun Community College Foundation and the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce. She also contributes to the Morgan County Economic Development Board and has previously chaired the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama’s Hospital Advisory Committee.

In recognition of her contributions, Kelli was named Citizen of the Year for Limestone County by the Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and one of Alabama’s most powerful and influential women in 2015. She is deeply involved with the American Heart Association, chairing the 2020 Huntsville Heart Walk.

Kelli is also a graduate of the Huntsville Leadership Flag Class L33 and Leadership Alabama Class # # . She cherishes time with her two children, two grandchildren, and two grand dogs.
