Dr. Lott and her son, AC, attended the Hattiesburg area Brain Injury Support group this week. They were asked to paint a mask telling others about brain injury. Dr. Lott wanted to share that vision is more than 20/20. AC’s mask is camouflage to represent that brain injury is a hidden disability. Vision rehabilitation plays an integral role in a patient’s journey through brain injury. And so does a great support group. Join us for our next meeting!

Dr. Lott was a speaker on brain injury and pediatrics at the recent Arkansas Optometry’s Association meeting in Little Rock. She enjoyed visiting with classmates from optometry school and teaching others about how important the eyecare provider’s role is in brain injury rehabilitation.

Dr. WC Maples was recently recognized at the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland as a co-founder of the optometry college at that university.

The conference, held at the University in December 2023, was a celebration of 40 years of progress in the profession. We are so proud of Dr. Maples and all of his contributions to the international field of optometry.
