Epoxy terrazzo floors are a great option for indoor areas with high foot traffic, such as airports, sports arenas, malls, hospitals, and universities. However, epoxy terrazzo tends to peel and lose its color when used outdoors.

Epoxy flooring is seamless, meaning it is a completely smooth surface with no division of parts across the entire room. This makes it easier to clean than wood or tile, which have lines of division between the wood planks or tiles.

Epoxy floors come in a variety of colors and finishes to spruce up your floor, so ask for samples of various colors and finishes to identify what will work for your space. If you need them, bring photographs to check colors against what colors are already in your space.

Industrial companies use epoxy flooring because of its durability and how easy it is to clean, but they also use it because of how strongly it bonds to the concrete floor. Its longevity is one of its best features.

Epoxy floorings can be constructed to provide a variety of textures, from rough to smooth. Rough floors provide greater resistance to skidding and slipping, while smooth floors are easier to keep clean and maintain.

Epoxy floors can protect the environment around your home or business because they seal the floor, making it impossible for any spilled chemicals or non-potable water to seep through under the house.

The two different parts of the epoxy are the resin and the hardener, and once the two are mixed together, they begin to harden. The resin is what gives the epoxy its color, patterns or texture, while the hardener is the catalyst to the chemical reaction and hardens the resin.

A "microtopping" is a thin coat of epoxy applied directly over an existing concrete surface. This layer, typically less than 1/8th of an inch in thickness, can be colored, stained, or dyed to create a custom floor design.

Urethane and epoxy floors are cost efficient. Not only are they easy to clean and maintain, but they reflect light 300 percent more efficiently than concrete, which increases work efficiency while decreasing utility expenses.

Compared to vinyl, wood, laminate and ceramic floors, epoxy floors offer a much higher level of protection against scratches, stains, moisture damage and impact damage – plus epoxy floors are easier to clean and maintain than these other types of floors too.
