Does anyone have questions about Osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis and affects over 27 million people per year in the United States. Osteoarthritis is also known as "wear and tear" arthritis and can affect wear bearing areas like the spine, hips, knees and feet but can also affect non-weight bearing joints like the hands. There are several FDA approved medications to help chronic pain from Osteoarthritis. Other treatment options include physical therapy, weight loss, steroid injections and viscosupplement injections in the knee joints. Viscosupplementation is the injection of a gel-like substance into the knee joint which acts like a lubricant. Viscosupplement injections are given once per week for 3 weeks in a row. Results from viscosupplement injections may vary depending on the severity of your knee arthritis however we have many patients who report decreased pain and increased mobility in their knees after completing the viscosupplement series. -Dr.Mehta

We are now offering online visits for our established patients who live in California. Online visits are Monday through Friday from 9am-11am. This is a virtual walk-in clinic so no appointment is needed.

Online visits are ideal for people who have busy work schedules, have transportation issues and non-emergency medical issues.

Register for online visits through our website and download the snapmd app to your smartphone or conduct the visit from your laptop or desktop computer. You will enter a virtual waiting room and once the provider is ready to start the video conference, you will receive an alert on your phone or computer.
